Amazing little stop along the highway. Loads of BC history here, including Japanese internment, mining and logging. Worth the trip

Great little museum, $5 to visit and tells a lot of the history of the area - mining, Japanese internment camps, Chinese railways/businesses, early pioneers. Lady who works there was very friendly and knowledgeable - would recommend!

This fabulous little museum gives a wonderful snapshot of the history of Greenwood from its founding as a city in 1897. From mining displays to saloons and everything in between. An excellent overview. The section on Japanese Canadian internment is also very well done. The $5 admission is well worth it.

This little museum is a true gem. Chock full of information and artifacts and is a fantastic resource for people coming through the area. It is so well done that schools bring tours here all the way from the coast. It has true and unique information regarding the local, provincial and even some national history. If you're coming through the area you won't want to miss this!!

This is one of the best stocked museums I’ve been in. There were so many items that brought back memories and so much to learn from.

Finally stopped in Canada's smallest city. Historic mining town that did business with Spokane. In WW2 became the largest internment camp for Canadian Japanese forced from the coast due to its isolation. Over 1200 internees with a population of 200 residents. Catholic church set up schools that operated into the 1960s. The museum details the history in an unvarnished way with lots of locally sourced material. Well worth the modest $5. admission to explore this unique and sad part of Canadian history. Kudos for not sweeping it under the carpet. Read the assembled newspaper articles of the time for a sober look at our past and marvel at the resilience of those sent there.

Very nice little museum and visitor center, the staff were so incredibly friendly and kind. She even showed us around the museum and showed us their new exhibit. Was very involved and interested in letting us know the history of Greenwood. I'd definitely be returning and to show other friends and family. Thank you so much!
