I did my hair color with Amelie and she knew exactly what I wanted to do. She has magic in her hands and an incredible eye for detail!She is also very knowledgeable about hair colouring and explained to me how we could achieve my hair goals. I felt so relaxed in her capable and confident hands!Amelie is my new trusted stylist here in Vancouver! Loved my experience with her!

This place is fantastic. The staff are all great, friendly and it’s the first salon I have ever been to that used my hair cuttings to help with an oil spill in English bay. #progressive they support local artists and are just generally awesome people who are conveniently great at taking care of all your hair needs.SJ is fantastic and knows how to handle my curly madness of a mane. She knows what's she doing, gives great tips and tricks (so important for curly hair) and genuinely cares:) HIGHLY recommend this place!

Recently requiring hair services in Vancouver, I asked around and the Beehive was recommended to me by someone who TRAVELS to Vancouver to get their hair done here.I know my hair, and I am very aware that it's very difficult to achieve a platinum blonde on Asian hair, especially one that had been through rounds of DIY colouring.Lindsay is now my stylist. It's been an amazing experience working with her, and she was detailed in explaining the expectations of my journey to platinum. We were able to get to where I wanted my hair to be, and I have received so many compliments on my style. On top of that, the style and colouring is one that I can comfortably grow out without it looking like I've been in a bunker for 3 months.

Edit: I have downgraded this to a one star after no attempt from the salon to rectify this situation and hating this stupid strip in the front more each day...........,..................I feel pretty upset about my results from here. I did a lot of research and this place had good reviews. I went to make an apt and they referred me to a stylist who specializes in balayage. I showed him a reference photo of what I was looking for. The 3rd picture is the end result. By the time I got home I was so upset. I never spend money on myself and I had just shelled out $230 For a cut and a balayage that looked nothing like my photo. I called the salon to tell them how upset I was. The stylist was willing to fix it so I went back in for another 3 hours and the last picture is what I'm left with. At least you can tell my hair has been dyed now but it just looks like I've had bleach blonde streaks done. There is no light progression to the tips, and I have a big streak in my front that looks out of place. I'm too poor to shell out more money to fix it so am left with this. The stylist was lovely personality wise but he either didn't understand what I wanted (despite showing the reference photo multiple times) or didn't know how to achieve it. My hair dresser is fabulous . I met her a while ago here. DEBRA she moved to another location now back I've followed her to every location this is where we first met . Plus she is great . Why else would I follow her to different salons? Answer she is that good with hair! Check her out won't regret it. She will tell you if this is good look for you or might considered a different route. Plus she is friendly and bubbly . Will also ask questions to assist with your choice on what you like don't like and what look or want. Please if you have chance make that appointment .you will be very happy.

I've had bad experiences before asking for the sides of my head buzzed at other salons, it made me feel intimidated, but when I came here that changed! My stylist Bibi made me feel comfortable, and helped my idea work, I got a fantastic cut that I can style multiple ways exactly how I wanted! I was so happy when I left with my new cut, and I plan to keep coming back!

Super happy with my cut from Bibi today. I've been hesitant to try a new stylist as I just moved to Vancouver, and I'm planing on donating my hair soon. She did a fantastic job of listening to my request to keep it long, and trimmed away all of the mess making it so much healthier. Have already recommended her to a friend as I was very impressed. The Beehive is awesome but I am primarily here to review the stylist I saw because I was so happy with her and her professionalism. Her name is Koto. She coloured and cut my hair and gave me exactly what I wanted, even better! It was my first time at the salon. She asked me lots of questions before the appointment and she was super honest about what I could expect with the colour. Koto is such a pro; she clearly knows what she is doing with colour (and I have been to a few people who don't, over the years). Koto is not only a great stylist, she is also friendly!!
