Niagara Home Bakery
Like every other store in the town, this bakery is also in an old European building. The bakery has an old classy feel. They serve tarts, cakes, cinnamon buns, drinks, tea, coffee, pies, croissants, puff pastries etc. I tried a cappuccino and a carrot cake. Both the coffee and the cake tasted really good. The carrot cake was soft and freshly baked with cream on top. The bakery is take out only.

We got some of their cookies which tasted pretty good. Love their pecan chocolate butter tart. Their apple cider drink was just powder mix which was a little disappointed but it’s nice during winter.

I come here every one or two weeks. I've noticed you have introduced in the last month a $5 EFTPOS minimum, and now a $10 minimum. That's steep for a bakery, and any justification of saving money on negligible 1-3% merchant fees is silly. This is on the back of recent price increases too. Really disappointed to see this, maybe it's just greed for the tourist season? I'll pop in and buy something when the signs are removed.

This place is supposed to have amazing tarts. I had the pecan butter tart, and tasted like something from a grocery store. Nothing special.

Def hits the spot for any tart cravings. The crust was a little thinner and less flaky but the sweetness that was carried in a smooth custard was delcious!

Love their portuguese tarts.Went there twice during my weekend visit during canada day long weekend.Was disappointed that the worker LIED that some of the treats were baked fresh that morning when they were most definitely not.

We ordered the sausage roll and the Portuguese pie so we could have a savory and sweet option. The sausage roll was a little too minced for me but the Portuguese pie was so good that I'm still giving it 5 stars. Tons of eclectic food to choose from and have the chance to try something new and different. A fun experience to add to your Niagra on the lake day!
