York Endoscopy & Specialist Centre

My colonoscopy appointment is scheduled at York Endoscopy on 25Jul. I have booked my PTO for that day and I am preparing myself according to the colonoscopy procedure.However, I just received a cancellation letter from York Endoscopy as they are short of nurses. I have waited for this test for almost 3 months and now they cancelled just 1 day before the colonoscopy and they don't know when it is available to rebook. It is not respectful to the patient! Lacking of nurses occurs everywhere, and they should let the patient know in advance NOT just 1 day before the procedure! Totally unacceptable!

This practice is terrific. Dr. Laishram) combines expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss. She’s also an excellent surgeon. Also, the staff is very friendly and professional. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes when I arrive on time for an appointment.

This location and the doctors were totally inconsiderate. I would not recommend anyone to do a colonoscopy here. Patients have to be on a liquid diet for over 24 hours and when they come they find there are 2-3 people ahead of them and there’s a minimum 1.5 hour wait. There are no apologies given. The reception shows no sympathy to the inconvenience of the patient who is fasting or the family members who have booked time off. All in all I would not recommend this place. Poor bedside manner, not punctual, the office is a mess. The director whom is also performing the procedures provides no information and is also lacking in any kind of bedside manner.

He did nail surgery on me that he wasn’t specialist on that and I got infection.After 2 weeks I still can’t walk and have pain. I’m not recommending him at all.

I just completed my colonoscopy and I would rate DR Laishram and his staff 5 stars for his caring and details introductions. The whole procedure took 1 hour and was on time.

Very unprofessional and unethical dr and staff. Canceled my son's endoscopy appt twice after waiting for 3 month. Everytime with new excuses, not enough staff or dr is away.Dont waste your time and find another dr who really cares about their patients.

Dr.Laishram and the staff are so cordial. They explain exactly what they’re doing and keep you informed along the way. Appreciated their support and followed full COVID protocols.

Same as other people, waited for 3 mths for the appointment and got canceled last minute. They probably know they are lack of staff weeks ago, why wait till last minute to let patients know? Already started the preparation for the procedure, wasted my time. Now need to find another place and probably need to wait another few months before the procedure can be done, so disappointed.

Had vasectomy there last Friday. Dr. Laishram is very caring and listened to all my question patiently. During the procedure the pain scale was 2/10~3/10 and after the procedure is ~1/10. The second day I'm pain free. Today is day 4 and my incision is almost fully recovered. I can walk like nothing happened.

For my first visit to the Yes clinic, I found the staff very friendly and professional. I was very nervous with the procedure and Dr. Yau was very reassuring. I have suffered with collagenous colitis for 8 years and Dr. Yau is the first Doctor to recommend Meta Mucil which has worked wonders with me. Thank you Dr. Yau
