HSBC Bank Canada

I know HSBC isn't strong in Canada, but from this branch I've got the worst experience ever. Been here twice for drafts, branch never pick up the phone nor return fax to verify for me. First time I ended up waiting more than a week for my fund to release and losing thousands of dollars because of the delay. Second time I asked them for a staff's phone number to verify my draft, and they told me to fax. And yes they are from 14th century and they don't have a business phone. Ridiculous service and staffs.

Very unprofessional service by the bank Teller , her name is Josephine Lau . Very unpleasant experience and with no respect for the human rights & privacy.

Ken is terrible. Tellers are terrible and lazy, tried closing an account and they told me to just let it drain and expire... what bank does that. Head office needs to look into this branch I know it’s in Chinatown but that’s not how a bank should operate. They are shameless

I was shocked to my bones to see a bank behave so rudely to an elderly client. This middle aged Chinese teller was shouting at the elderly man who was trying to open a new account, I think. And he happened to be of African descent. It was obvious she was reacting to his race, and to false assumption related to drug money - He only said politely he had cash in his hand, which doesn't make it illegal, or drug money! Not all cash is drug money! AH! She shouted at him as if he was a baby, causing every other client turn around in horror! No, she said, I will not take your money! Wow! I didn't think banks are actually that rude! And Africans have better morals! HSBC should know better ! One star is one too much!

I have had an amazing experience with the HSBC Team specifically at the Spadina Ave. location. Both Ivan Kwok and Virgina Choi have been so helpful and have gone above and beyond to help! Ivan is very smart and patient, he has helped solve my banking issues as a global Premier customer which other countries were not able to do. Virgina was such a delight to meet and so helpful that even though I had an account with another bank since I was 10, I opened one with her and it was the best decision I've made.A big thank you to Ivan and Virgina!

The worst customer service especially the front desk CS and poor problem solving skills. I can't imagine.

I am so impressed by their services at this branch, it was beyond of my expectation. I went at the branch without appointment to open an International account. It was taken care by Jessie Yu in minutes with full attention and details, awesome service was given to me.

I have successfully found hell on earth, and it is the Spadina branch of HSBC.I've never dealt with anyone who is more incompetent at their jobs, nor anyone who has that obnoxious of an attitude, as the lady who I met during my visit. It is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional, and is likely a reflection of poor management at the top. Disgusting.

After terrible experiences with HSBC, I came to this branch to close my account. Months later I found that they hadn't closed it properly; service fees and overdraw fees were subsequently charged. Returned to the branch with this concern, and staff was incredibly rude about the situation.
