CIBC Branch with ATM

I had a very bad experience with the front desk lady, I think her name is Sheila, who did not show any respect to me as a customer. She was so reluctant to serve and not pleasant at all. As a front desk worker, she should pay more respect toward customers and have to have a positive attitude towards any customer , step in to the branch.. I was totally unhappy and I would suggest that she should be replaced.

December 2020 update..finally! Got our family estate money out of these guys. Took way too long. They do terrible record keeping and had to get 2 separate cheques done at 2 separate days. They shorted us the first time! We're done now and glad we don't have to deal with them anymore. No apologies or reasons why it took so many months or why we had to go back twice to finish/close the estate off. Don't waste your time here. !!November 2020 update...still no communications from this terrible bank!Management doesn't care or read these reviews.September 2020. We are dealing with this branch because we have to..forced to...due to a family estate matter. The service and response back from this bank and branch and the Estate Division in Ontario is absolutely horrible!! Our communication is pretty near none existant. I hope that the Branch Manager sees this comment and then reacts in a responsive manner to me through my Google account. Worse yet...even our lawyers can't get information in a timely manner in order to do probate. I don't recommend this bank at all. One star rating is too good for this bank.

This bank is denying people access to their own money. If you have any mutual funds, gic's, RRSP's etc. With this bank start pulling it out before they steal your money. Over 2 mil has been held by this bank from our dad who is trying to buy a house. In this crazy market after a year of searching for his ideal property and getting an accepted offer finally and the bank says NO.They are denying his payments for my dad's medical supplies and prescriptions as well as other payments. No regard for their clients health & welfareThis bank refuses to accept a legal Power of attorney, Representation agreement as well as the Health care authorization. That our DaD put in place several years back to protect himself and his assets from such an unethical treatment by his bank or the government etc. Customer for over 30yrs to date. 2 more people approached us and said this is crazy the bank will not give them their own money and were told to come back next week. The 1 man said he's been trying all week to get his money from the bank and was refused again.This bank is corrupt and very unethical and will steal whatever they can from you with no recourse, so they think.

CIBC Fremont Village is an excellent bank. Mostly because of our advisor Sage Kim. She is hands down the best financial advisor we have ever worked with at any major bank. She is smart, technical, kind and happy. We trust her completely, and highly recommend her above anyone else.

Staff are always friendly which is why this is a 2 star review. However is is 12:03 (they open at 12) on a Sunday and there are 6 people in line for 1 teller. Other staff are around but not opening other stations. I know banks traditionally were closed on weekends. But with other banks now offering longer hours and weekend service it is time that CIBC caught up. There should be 2 at least on a Sunday when they are only open 4 hours.

I have been with CIBC for 20+ years and I have watch their service degrade year after year for the last 5 or so years. This was a great branch with great people. Unfortunately I have seen so many corporate changes and restructuring that it has now turned it into humongous bank" where customer service has been replaced with hard core buyer beware marketing tactics. So very very sad."

Very friendly staff. They took themselves the time to get me through the process of making a bank account and answered all the questions I had. Really good experience which I can definitely recommend.

Been coming to this location for a very long time , i have never had a problem. Alot of complaints from other people about long waits. Personally for myself it hasnt been too bad. It is funny however to see someone uptight about a wait , then when they are up they have no idea, missing paperwork and in the wrong bank . So you can get an occasional laugh from that. Recently though everytime i have came in there has been no people no lines. Myself i do alot of online banking, so banking in general is pretty straight forward. The staff is friendly and since i have a good attitude when i come to the bank i leave with it aswell. I guess thats why i enjoy my time at this branch. They have taken me in a few times without appointment to talk investmest and second accounts. Overall 5 stars.

Can someone please tell me what happened to good old customer service? CIBC must see hiring new staff as an absolute taboo. This location today had 1 Service rep, 1 Manager & 3 people in a line up. 3 people may not seem like a lot but I have been there several times so I know the amount of time that I will be waiting, so once I had seen that I turned around & left. The management to staff ratio seems a bit steep at this location, not sure what this manager manages, maybe the keys to the front door, he is good at telling people in line to consider using the bank machine so guess that justifies the fees CIBC charges.
