A lovely culinary stopover between Gatineau and Mississauga. The waiting staff is always pleasantly cheerful and welcoming, so much so we let them choose our dessert and weren't disappointed.

Got the buttermilk chicken tenders subbed regular fries with sweet potato fries today. The food was amazing! Order came with a couple different sauces on the side. Did not disappoint!!

Great place, perfect atmosphere. The food originally looks expensive but you get giant portions. The waitstaff made the night, we got caught in the rain on the patio and they made us at home inside.

I've been to this location many, many times. Their food has always been delicious. I miss the duck poutine :(They always have interesting cocktails to try. It's one of the go-to patios in the summer. The interior is small but stylish. For the most part, I have always experienced great service.When they had weekly takeout during covid, the food quality was kept to the standard expected. It would be nice if the weekly takeout was something that was always available besides through Valley Eats. I have ordered via Valley Eats as well, and still, the food quality didn't waiver.It will always be an option for drinks with the girls and sitting out on the patio in the summertime.Sure it's a bit pricey, but you're worth it.The restaurant isn't assemble for all, but the patio is. There is gravel parking at the back of the hotel and the farmers market parking is within reasonable walking distance.

Amazing experience! Staff was so friendly and very kind! Loved that they were welcoming for my dog and I to sit on the patio; so many staff members came to pet him and even brought him water! Food was beyond exceptional! I had the wild mushroom papardelle and the flavours were exceptional! Wonderful experience, hope to be in the area again to return! Hidden gem!

Four of us stopped in from our motorcycle ride and had such a great lunch on the patio. They welcomed our small dog without issue and were even quick to bring out a container of water for her.The food was terrific. Everyone enjoyed the fries, sweet potato fries, brisket and chicken tenders.Our server, Julie was pleasant and very friendly.Thank you Smith and Barrel for exceeding our expectations.

This isn’t our first time here but my first review. Each time I’ve come with others family or friends the experience is always positive. It may be small when the patio isn’t open but nonetheless great service and food.We had• Ciabatta Chicken Sandwich• Barrel Burger• Brisket SandwichAll were great and Leah was very attentive.

We had a great dinner, nice menu with plenty of selections. Our server was great, I wish I could remember her name! We asked her to choose a dessert for us, and we had the peanut butter cheesecake which was delicious!

Excellent service and good food. Fish & chips should have an option to select 1 piece or 2. It was served with 2 pieces which was way too much food for me. Chips were really good.

Had an excellent meal there for the first time. Great food and seemed to have great teamwork by servers and kitchen/ cooking staff. Will definitely return.
