Rankins Towing

Rankings seems to have a lot of good reviews so clearly they were having a bad day recently.Police called them to tow my vehicle following a collision.The 7km recovery cost $650 !!!I guess that could be because likely insurance would pay?However while I don’t doubt the car was already an insurance write off they did considerable additional damage and took no care what so ever to my mind on the recovery.Photographs show that there was no damage at the collision site to the hood, front door, grill, bumper but on delivery all were significantly damagedThey also wrecked a rim that was not previously damagedNot impressed !!!The owner did apologize - but justified the recovery with “no one was there to block traffic”.It was on a rural straight road - not a highway.

Great place to get a tow. He has a flat bed. Got my truck to the garage. Fair prices. Great service.

I didn't actually have service from this company, after getting a quote I quickly changed my mind on using them. I called them due to the good reviews, to tow a car from Desoronto area to Kingston was going to be $150.00 just for the call and $3/km after so between $300 and $350. Now don't get me wrong they might be great people they seemed nice and willing to help and this might be a standard rate, but I called Ward's towing for a quote as well and he was super nice and helpful and a flat rate of $100 to do the same job.

A couple weeks back I locked myself out of my van. Guy (sorry I don't know his name) came by to help me out and didn't charge me, as he knew how to get my door unlocked using the door keypad. Can only imagine that honesty translates to their other services!

Got stranded, used Rankin's Towing, bit pricey, I had it towed 1.4 km. Maybe its been awhile since I've had a vehicle towed but back in 2017 I had a vehicle towed 8 km for 80 bucks so I guess things have doubled. Seems a bit steep but I got everything I asked for and the man coming to get me was very courteous. Would I use them again, probably, they are only 20 minutes walk home to my place and if you see a picture of me from the front I don't need to walk, but a picture from the side the first picture lies, lol have a good one.

Absentmindedly locked keys in my vehicle at the Laundromat. Called and they arrived promptly in less than 10 minutes, and got our vehicle open within ~5mins. Highly recommend, very impressed, great service. Thank you so much for your help!
