Dogtopia of Newmarket

I really want to give 4.5 stars as Doptopia is absolutely amazing. I have two girls there and they were very shy in the beginning. After a few visits, they were more and more social and is less anxious when meeting new people and puppies.Dogtopia of Newmarket also offers webcam services who partners with google nest, which makes the viewing experience very straightforward and provides a relatively stable service. I would like to see them expand to multiple angles of the room as there are a few blind spots when only using one camera.Brooke was our main point of contact in Doptopia, she was responsive to our inquiries and needs/wants of our girls, easy to communicate with and always did a great job getting back to us in a timely fashion.Our dogs are poodles and we got them that way so we can stay above the allergy fray. One point of improvement, although could be a bit hard to implement, is to allow a quick blow off of the pups prior to pick up to minimize other dogs dandruff to be brought along with the girls.Last point of awesomeness is a report card per visit. Dogtopia of Newmarket emails you daily reports per dog per visit. Which are extremely detailed.The only reason I want to remove half a star is the pricing of their plans. They are very expensive without any promotion on. We are on a promotional plan currently for a month, $200 per dog. Same plan without the promotion is around $800, which will immediately put us out of the question of utilizing their services. Hopefully they can find a way to streamline their services to make it less pricey.

I brought my Boston terrier, Charlotte, in for her first professional groom. She is fresh, clean, with trimmed nails that were even filed smooth! I am very pleased. She will be back for continued grooming. Thank you!

Dogtopia in Newmarket is the best place for our Jackson! Not only does he go to play once a week, but he had the best hair cut ever! Nicely done! Thanks to all the staff!

We had the most disappointing and horrible experience with Dogtopia Newmarket! We purchased a package to have our dog in the three session trial and one over night boarding over the Christmas break. The first day was great! My dog who is a very social and friendly Samoyed and LOVES to be around other dogs and new people went inside with no problem. He received a positive report from dogtopia saying that he is friendly and respectful! The second day he was excited and happy to go in! However, there was about one hour when we were not able to see him on the webcam! I was busy that day and didn’t think much of it! However, the third time we went to drop him, as soon as I pulled into the parking lot he began whimpering! He was pulling away and didn’t want to go inside. Once I managed to take him inside he ran towards the door and was visibly begging me not to leave him. He wouldn’t let us take him to the door to get inside. He was so upset and scared! I had never seen him like that as he is always so excited to go anywhere where there are other dogs and new people!! I ended up taking him home that day! The staff person there also acknowledged that he didn’t want to go in and said he might be tired! I tried another day giving them the benefit of the doubt and he had the same response: visibly scared, whimpering and running towards the door to get outside the center!! He was pulling us towards the door the get out with all his power! I explained that given his very unusual reaction we were not going to go ahead with the boarding for overnight. Something obviously had made him scared as he is otherwise a very social and easy going dog! I spoke with the manager and requested a refund for the days that we had paid and not used as my dog visibly refused to go inside and was upset! She said there is “No good reason” why we couldn’t leave our dog there and that nothing bad had happened to my dog! She said “your dog is a nervous dog”!!! Our dog is the most calm and social dog! His first report from them indicated the same! He is also super intelligent and therefore, when he is whimpering and running away from something we trust him! The managers response made me disgusted! Someone who doesn’t even have basic common sense should t be left managing a center that is supposed to take care of animals who can’t speak for themselves! It was disrespectful and dismissive! They didn’t even bother to say they will look into what could have happened! Money is not important but I am just furious with their approach saying that we should still bring our dog even though he is running away from them! They are refusing to refund three days we haven’t used and will never use! Not even saying they are sorry! I don’t recommend them at all! Some dogs might have a good experience there but they are obviously not caring and something must have happens to our dog to make him react that way! So disappointed and shocked!

Both myself and my dog love Dogtopia. It's great for high energy dogs as my dog is aa he comes home exhausted. Love that it lets him be social with other dogs in a safe environment. The staff are amazing, very nice and accommodating.

Listen to your dog!As soon as we pull into the parking lot our English Bulldog Norman goes crazy, you can’t open the car door fast enough for him and as soon as you do, he races for the entrance. You open the door into Dogtopia, and his bum is dancing, his tale is wagging as down the entry hallway he races again. Honestly, if there was a dog door from the parking lot into the daycare play area, I think all we would need to do is open the car door and he would be inside playing before we even had a chance to undo our seatbelt.Yeah — I think he likes going!On a human side of things, the stay are always welcoming and treat him with a warm welcome. We also use their grooming and nail trimming services - how can you go wrong, a fun day of playing and a clean dog! WIN WIN!Looking for a daycare for your dog, be sure to check out Dogtopia!

Wonderful people and very professional and friendly, they take the puppy in 2 seconds and respect your time a lot.All the people there , loooove dogs and puppies and know everyone of them by name.Vary clean and smell awesome every time regardless of the time of the day.My puppy adores there.Highly recommended.

I love the one-on-one grooming, individualized support for my dog, and that all the staff members prioritized building a positive relationship with my dog. I have a very anxious dog and he left his grooming appointment very happy!

The Newmarket Dogtopia location was very thorough when walking me through their daycare service. Their detailed breakdown of their daycare service left me feeling very confident that my dog would be in good hands. Through watching my dog with their webcam capability, I could certainly see that their Canine Coaches were attentive to each dog's needs, very responsive to any ill behaviour, quick to clean/sanitize any dog's bathroom breaks, and happy to give cuddles to any willing dogs. Lyndsay is an absolute delight to speak with and it was apparent that the enrichment of the pups was their top priority. She is very communicative and accommodating. Thank you for giving our pups a fun/safe place to play!
