That was a Kungpao chicken lunch combo I had today. For the price, I say it was alright but will leave a few comments. Overall taste, I sensed less msg than others which is good thing. However, quality of the meat was so so. It didn’t taste like cuts were made from a piece of breast portion. Hot and sour soup? Taste varies quite a bit by restaurant but this one is probably one of so so ones to me. Oh and the chair. If you need back support, their chairs are not the one for you.

It was a real authentic Shanghai style restaurant with the best service I never had! The waitresses were so nice and kind! They introduced the specials for the day and diligently poured the tea for all of us whenever it was needed! Also, exchanged the used plates with a new one always in the needed time! Never had this kind of great service before! We had Drunken Chicken, Ma La Tou Tofu, A Whole Fish, Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetable, Eel with Garlic, and Wok Grilled Chiba Tofu. Wow, everything was soooo good and delicious! It was “Taste of Home”! We really enjoyed, and will definitely come back! Highly recommended!

The restaurant is too far from my home so I usually ordered delivery only.Very authentic Shanghai dish in good portions.Some dish may taste too sweet for Asians but I called them to lower the sugar for me and it taste great.

The best Shanghainese food ever. Highly recommend their garlic pork rib. Don’t miss king crab and fish if you are a seafood lover.

We are always on the lookout for new restaurants, and Z&W Shanghai Kitchen has been on our list ever since it opened earlier this year. As it was our first time, we decided to to try some of our Shanghai favourites to see if they are worth a return visit. We had their Xiao Long Bao, the Kou Shui Chicken, and their Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage. The prices were a tiny bit higher than average, but they make up for it with their portion size which were quite generous. After trying everything, we are happy to say that we will most definitely be back to try more!

After few months of renovating,they're ready and made the new place airy, clean looking. I especially like the mural of birds and foliage.The service was fine and attentive.We tried quite a lot and most of the dishes were quite good. The eggplant was soft and tendered right amount of vinegar though on oily side.The chives pan cake was crunchy and well done. The tofu and mushroom for appetizer right amount of sweetness and saltiness and the chu loongbao was soupy and nice.

Super authentic chinese northern chinese food as long as you know what to order. I felt that their ingredients are typically pretty fresh as they specificed to us that the fish was alive before they cooked it. However, their cabbage dish was not done properly as the cabbage was bitter and it was not marinated.Overall, the ambience is nice and they are definately very authentic.

Everything was tasty and loved the jellied pork. Not a busy restaurant so service is good. Parking is troublesome with the current construction but you can park in the neighborhood nearby for free.

Came in for an early lunch. Was seated promptly and served tea.Ordered the xiao long bao, beef rolls, Chili wontons, and spring rolls.Will definitely be having the XLB again. The Chili wontons were also particularly good. I’d say the portions were extremely fair.The server even nicely recommended the best way to reheat the beef rolls.
