Riley Park Farmers Market - Summer

(This review is specifically for Mrs. Lee’s Natural foods kimchi)Deliciously spiced, so tender yet crunchy at the same time. Excellently hot, nice chunks of crunchy yet soft vegetables, sheer perfection. Kimchi come thru!Both the radish and regular kimchi I tried are incredible! So many different textures and shapes of cabbage and green onion. I love the crunchiness, the bursts of flavour, spicy but not too hot, a pleasant spicy. Excellent umami, lingering afterwards. Texture of the liquid is almost like a salsa with consistency to the brine, due to the rice.I feel like I finally understand kimchi. This is how it’s supposed to be made. Thanks Mrs. Lee for bringing us your wonderful vegan natural kimchi.P.s. she also has a beautiful looking pink one with beets which is not spicy that I will buy next time for my Mom.

A farmer's flea market is rich and varied. Wide variety of fresh and good vegetables. A very good idea for farmers to reach out to consumers. Come and enjoy it very well. Good luck.

Solid amount of vendors. Fair share of baked goods, produce and specialty meats. The ready to eat food vendors are normally quite tasty. There is gluten free and vegan options. Get a Jamaican patty if the vendor is there

Great location for a farmers market. It has a wide selection of produce and products. Nice music too

This isn't a huge market but their produce is amazing! Nothing like the grocers organic produce...and it's quite reasonably priced too! And there are a few other stands...two bakeries that have way too many delicious options! And a few others to explore...along with a string of food trucks, a coffee stand, tables and benches...plus it's in a really nice park that has parking!

Several produce vendors with fruits and vegetables, including from the Certified Organic Kwantlen Polytechnic University Farm Schools. August 2021, I saw vendors of mushrooms and sea asparagus, micro- and leafy greens, pasta sauce, artisan gin, flowers, vegan baking and treats, and lots more, including (sometimes there) PlantBase Food, which offers excellent vegan burgers, sausages, cheeses, deli slices, frozen soups and curries and delectable treats). Pleasant entertainment (guitarist/vocalist on Aug. 14, 2021). A couple of food and coffee trucks were stationed on the side street.

Always a wonderful market. The best of the season, every Saturday. Fresh produce from the lower mainland, the islands, mountain areas, and Fraser Valley. High quality value added items and gourmet quality food.
