Beaverfoot Lodge
An amazing lodge and very relaxing. We spent over a week here and it was an excellent place to stay while we explored the mountains. Very close to local sites that you can day trip to including Golden, Banff, Lake Louise and many hiking trails and sites to see especially Wapta Falls which are very close. It was so beautiful we ended up getting engaged by the little pond in the back! Would definitely recommend a visit!

The hospitality we received from the hosts was amazing. We were welcomed like family. The cabin was beautiful and cozy. A wood fire, fully stocked kitchen, sparkling bathrooms and heavenly beds. The mountain views with friendly horses visiting in the mornings made me want to stay here for good. I'll never forget Beaverfoot Lodge!

Worst stay ever. property with a lot of potential but in poor condition. dust and dirt everywhere. dirty pans and plates still on the counter, dirty cloths and no hot water. there is dirt everywhere on the beds, as if dogs have been lying on them every day. radio silence from the landlord when we tried to call him about this. we went looking for another accommodation on the spot.

I absolutely loved the stay here!! We stayed for 5 nights I felt sad leaving. Waking up to mountains every single morning with my coffee priceless.. the 20 to 25 minute drive from the highway, also priceless. The kitchen is huge there are tons of washrooms and rooms. I felt very comfortable here. The shower heads could definitely use an upgrade but you are 12km up in a bc mountain with self sustained power. The water is very hot just have to be patient.Thank you Wayne.Dustin. Ontario.

We were lucky enough to be the first ones staying in this newly renovated cabin and Sonny made the whole experience absolutely special for us. He was definitively the reason we decided to stay here. We messaged before we booked. He was prompt, helpful and genuinely sounded delighted to have us as his first guests at the renovated cabin. He personally greeted us upon our arrival and even had watermelon cut up and left in our fridge for us. There was ample firewood waiting for us by our outdoor fire pit and by the indoor one as well. The cabins are beautiful. They are a perfect blend of being rustic and totally authentic, but also modern in terms of the finishings (bathroom, lighting, wifi). The view of the mountains and the pitch black star filled sky were to die for. It is far off of the path, so you really get that feeling of relaxation from being secluded in the beautiful wilderness. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend staying here and taking advantage of the hospitality that Sonny offers.

We coincedently drove past Beaverfoot Lodge as we wanted to visit the Wapta Falls. We were received with great hospitality and we were amazed by the area. Beautiful fields, streams and lodges (as far as we could judge). Not sure about the facilities, but the washrooms were pretty clean. Just dropped by, but it was a very memorable stop. Would recommend.

Awesome for the price!! The property has a lot of potential it was a rustic hunting cabin and had the flairs of one but overall great home away from home stay. We travelled here as two young female travellers and we felt perfectly safe with three locks on our door and a locking bathroom. We LOVED the sauna and how friendly Patrick, Victor, and of course bear the dog were! Definitely will visit again if in the area!! Miss the view out our bedroom window already

We are staying here for a week and a half and it has been such a wonderful stay! Wayne is so very nice and has given us quite a few tips and tricks as to where to go locally and when. My fiance and I are staying in the shared lodge. There is a shared fridge, 4 bathrooms with 3 showers, there is a big kitchen that had everything we needed. It's an awesome place to stay for a night or week and has great phone service and wifi for how secluded it is. The amount of land that they have to explore is huge and fun to wander around day or night. Just be aware of the wildlife as you are in the mountains! The river and lakes/ponds of the property are cold if you want a swim but refreshing. Despite coming up during a couple of forest fires it did clear up some and the views are amazing! There is so much to do around the area and everything is about 30-60 minutes away. I know we will be back in the future and look forward to our stay then ☺️

This place needs a big clean up. The pictures from before aren't representing the actual state of the place. Also, there's many mosquitoes dead everywhere. Also, many are still alive to bite you while sleeping or taking your shower. This place as a lot of potential. The road to reach it is ok, but make sure to avoid big rocks lying on the ground.

This property has great potential and amazing views but was a huge disappointment. We attended a wedding here this past weekend and our stuffy room was dirty with bug bodies and mouse poop on the floor, and a soiled bedspread. Bathroom facilities are shared and did not seem to be cleaned overnight and there was no drinkable water - lucky for us the wedding hosts provided bottled water. Rooms do not lock but this was not a problem as our party had the whole facility booked.Despite booking in advance, promises made to the wedding couple regarding the facilities were not fulfilled and guests spent a couple days cutting down tall weeds in the ceremony and camping areas, shoveling horse poop, and cleaning everything with only sporadic help from the management and staff. The photos on the website do not reflect the current run down condition at all! The reception area in the lodge is dark and dirty and does not have any of the charm shown in the photos. One of the windows in this area was broken and replaced with a sheet of plywood. The screen on the door into the dining area was broken so there were flies and mosquitoes as guests tried to eat. The picnic tables on the front deck were rough and the paint was bubbled up and coming off. The horses roam freely on the property and road (hence all the horse poop) and they are friendly but their hooves look like they badly need the attention of a farrier. If you come with extremely low or no expectations, you might be fine here. Otherwise, do not book!
