Hitoe Sushi Japanese Restaurant Gluten Free
Everything tasted great. We got Mango roll, rainbow roll, spicy salmon sushi, nigeto something, Sabi (Mackerel) sushi, and salmon sashimi. Everything was very pretty presentation, fancy stuff. You pay a premium to eat here in prices, but it is very high quality. The waiting/host staff are all young ladies who speak English well, and the chefs and all staff appear to be of Japanese descent, so it's quite authentic. It's pretty small (seats maybe 20 people?) And a little cramped, low lighting, but I go for good food, not a pretty dining environment kind of experience. I think our bill was probably around $115 tax and maybe tip in three of us, for two 10-pc rolls, two sushis (6-8 piece), and one 6 piece sashimi.

Horrible quality of food. Order takeout, the rolls were all mostly rice. Not only that their sushi rice mix was weirdly sweet. Too much vinegar and sugar. Fish to rice ratio was also hilarious.

As a celiac, this place is extremely gluten-free friendly and incredibly awesome about it. I love little shops like this and this one did not disappoint. They also had REAL WASABI. The sushi was fresh and the fish and all the side dishes was fantastic. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I will definitely visit again.

Food was delicate and delicious. Very good quality fish yet generous portion with the price. The server were nice and assertive. The restaurant is small but cute, about 20-22 seats, no sushi bar but windows counter. Only 1 stall washroom. Children friendly and good for casual dine out. Gluten free choices and vegetarian friendly. I love the way they present the meal and the way they slice the fish. Will definitely come back again.

So incredibly impressed with this sushi place - they have a whole menu card dedicated to all gluten free sushi! Absolutely incredible salmon & their wasabi is the authentic wasabi plant. A bit on the pricier side but worth it.

Incredible sushi. For some reason I did not feel the need for the usual soy sauce to highlight. Wasabi had actual root fibres and thread like shreds of Ginger was just enough seasoning. I am sadly finish all my sushi including the butter Wagyu beef. Will we ever find sushi as good.

They have a gluten free menu and completely celiac safe as their chef is super knowledgeable. Everything on the gluten free menu is celiac safe, just make sure to ask which items that are not on the menu if it is gluten free and celiac safe.We had both gluten free ramen options which were both phenomenal (the seafood ramen and the vegan ramen). Both ramen bowls used the same broth and gluten free noodles, both were light and packed with flavor. Definitely the best gluten free ramen I ever had and confident that it is celiac safe. We also had the ankimo, melty salmon nigiri, ika (squid) nigiri, and hamachi Kama (grilled yellow tail check; it was a large plate and definitely recommend rice with it).

What a special sushi joint! Food was incredible and it's kid friendly, which makes eating out much easier with children. They even give you a little soup ice cube to cool down their udon and have a kid's menu that my kids will actually eat which is always a plus! Would love to come back and support again.

Some of the best food I've ever had in my life! We did the sashimi combo A and tried the specials (2 cuts of flounder and snapper nigiri), unagi nigiri, otoro sashimi, and salmon kama. The sashimi and nigiri were so fresh, and melted in your mouth. They also use real wasabi and it's 100 times better (and less spicier) than wasabi used with horseradish and mustard. We let them know it was my first time in Vancouver from Toronto, and the chef gifted us two of the nigiri's on the house, and our waitress was amazing :) We will be coming back here every trip to Vancouver, the quality is unmatched for the price!
