Go ahead and hire them!I have had extremely unpleasant experiences with moving companies, such as missing items, extra charges upon delivery not previously agreed or specified, etc. Unfortunately, there’s no regulation about moving companies and taking legal actions is almost not a option.When I had to move across Canada again, I looked for the ones with better reviews. The ones with excellent reviews are way overpriced.Luckily, I came across THOMPSONS Moving & Storage. Good enough reviews and quote fair enough for me. I decided to go ahead and hire them to move my furniture and belongings from Halifax NS to Vancouver BC. They scheduled a day and time for pick up. Professional manners and quick service on the day of pick up.Once my furniture and belongs arrived in Vancouver BC, nothing was missing, but 2 furniture (dresser and tv stand) broken. See attached pictures. It was a bit stressful seen my furniture broken, but I proceeded with the claim. After a week my claim was approved and they paid me the full amount to buy new ones. 100% satisfied with their resolution. That’s why I am writing this review because this time my moving was so smooth, nothing comparable to the previous bad experience I had in the past.Looking at my attached pictures you would think I had a bad experience, but it’s the opposite.Overall, you are looking at a reliable company, with a fair cost, and great customer service.I recommend this moving company services. I am all set now on my new place, thanks to them!

I had a fantastic experience with this company. They were very professional and courteous. They called to confirm, let me borrow as many boxes as I needed to for $100 deposit (returned boxes and got $100 back the next week), phoned to let me know they were running late due to traffic on bridge, but showed up on time nonetheless. They worked super hard and efficiently, packed up all my furniture and wrapped all large items to ensure no damage, and even put my beds back together for me at my request. It took way less time than I anticipated. They were super speedy but careful and safe. There were 3 guys, one was in the moving business for over 30 years (!), everyone was friendly and very professional. It took way less time than I anticipated and I would recommend this company without hesitation. :)

Thompson's packet me and moved me yesterday. Professional, fast, efficient, polite and everything well packed, especially the furniture with glass. I cannot be more pleased with their services and can recommended them highly. Worth every penny. Now, if I can figure out in which box my vacuum cleaner hose is...

This company truly is a lifesaver.I was scammed by another moving company for a cross country move and was left stranded during one of the busiest moving times of the year (before uni starts).I reached out to Thompson’s and told them my situation. Within a week they had me squeezed in to their already packed schedule.They were kind and very sympathetic of my situation. As well, educated me on what a reputable moving company actually looks like so I can avoid this situation in the future.Their receptionist is incredibly sweet.Their quote is fair and not overpriced. The movers arrived on time, took great care of my stuff, and everything arrived in perfect condition! One small piece from my bed frame was missing (these things happen) and within a day they had it shipped to me at no extra cost.One of the best moving companies I have ever worked with.

Moving is very stressful for me but the crew from Thompson's were very personable and professional, putting my mind at ease right away. I was totally flustered on moving day and they were very understanding. They were extremely efficient and very kind. They showed up early, professionally packed our TVs, took apart beds & safely moved our stuff! Then set back up beds again super quick! They were so efficient it came to less than we were quoted too! Highly recommend!

Thompson's recently moved my mother's belongings from her home to an assisted care facility. They were respectful of her things, and courteous from start to finish. Nothing was damaged, and the whole experience was very positive ... especially in light of the circumstances.

Worked with Thompson’s Moving & Storage for a short distance move and temporary storage of my things. There was a bit of confusion around the price however this was worked through and resolved professionally. The movers were professional and compassionate throughout.
