This is a 15 dollar meal tax included, tip not included.I don't think the price value is on par with what you can get around Montreal for this money.I had to give 3 stars because I saw one of the people working there breaking chicken with his hands and then turning back and licking his fingers quickly :,(And that's why I'm not going back.

Even though they've been around for a while, this place is a little hidden gem. They have great Portugese food, chicken sandwiches, pork sandwiches and an amazing chorizo sandwich!!! Also you must try the little potatoes which are cooked with the chicken, absolutely delicious. Today I stopped by for a quick bite and the owner suggested I try their homemade Nantes" which I had never tried before. OMG!!!! Absolutely delicious and I took her advice and had them with a little bit of cinnamon

As someone born and raised in Hong Kong, we've had so many Portuguese egg custard tarts (Pastel de nata) growing up. But of course the taste has been modified to fit East Asian taste buds. I always wanted to try the real Portuguese egg custard tarts. I'm glad I had the chance in Montreal. I heard that there's a few restaurants with good Portuguese grilled chicken and egg tarts. Rôtisserie Coco Rico is one of them. The staff are friendly and helpful. I got myself a half dozen of Pastel de nata. I especially love the easy-to-carry box. The tarts are well protected and I can just throw it in my bag without worrying about leakage or staining. The tarts are still in perfect shape when we're back to the hotel.I love these Pastel de nata from the first bite. It's slightly different from those I had in HK and Macau, and it's absolutely delicious! For reference only, here's the comparison: The puff pastry crust is more chewy (than crunchy). The tart is taller hence contains more custard. The custard has more texture in it and it's sweeter.I recommend Rôtisserie Coco Rico for people who want to try authentic Portuguese grilled chicken and egg custard tarts. Especially if you're gonna visit Schwartz's Deli. Rôtisserie Coco Rico is only a few steps away. One stone for two great restaurants. Why not?

Awesome special for $12 for 1/4 piece of chicken, fries, and a salad of choice (green salad, macaroni, creamy coleslaw, vingarette coleslaw). Asked if we could substitute the fries for roasted potatoes but unfortunately no changes can be made to the special. That's okay because the fries were delicious - I liked that they fried fresh to order, rather than scoop from a batch of old fries. The rotisserie chicken was juicy and I recommend adding hot sauce on top for a nice kick.We also ordered another combo that included a 1/4 piece of chicken, salad of choice, and the roasted potatoes. We chose a macaroni salad and it was sooo good. However, my favourite part of the meal were the roasted potatoes. They were well sized, perfectly roasted, and had a delicious smoky BBQ flavour. I'd 100% order a serving of just these potatoes next time. The lady at the cashier talked us into getting a Portuguese egg tart - I am not a fan of egg tarts but my friend said it was flaky, fresh, had a good creamy egg texture, and good crisp on the top.

Coco Rico makes the most delicious chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life hands down, and the little Pastel de Nata tart makes a wonderful desert.I'll make it a point to check out the rest of the menu items soon. The great service and friendly staff are a bonus.
