This school is amazing! I went here through out all of elementary school, and the teachers are so supportive and kind. Bullying is not tolerated, and they make everyone feel welcome.

Update:Full of bullies! Keep your child safe and stay awayAwww look at you David Goulet starting tug of war, getting all hyped up..... this is exactly the reason some schools go down when the Chair is throwing temper tantrums like a 5 year old.Do something constructive for the school instead of giving suggestion to people to move to a private school. Why don't we start by fixing the front entrance of kindergarten area where kids and even grown ups tend to fall and all Mr. Good ol Tanzini did was fill in his pockets with the school moneys.Just prove yourself. Do something constructive for kids instead of sitting on a computer on a weekend and throwing temper.

Great little school. The teachers are caring, engaged and very competent. Our daughter is really blossoming. The students are taught to be respectful and considerate with others. We are really happy with the pedagogical approach which includes the teaching of fundamental values that will serve kids well in life as they navigate this world.

My children go here and it is a great school. My son just graduated and has improved significantly since we transferred there . My kids teachers have been caring. My son has being going here since grade 4 and they have never been bullied. My daughter since kindergarten . Never had a problem. I am not saying it doesn't happen but we haven't experienced it

Mor" and "Sal" before you come onto a forum such as this to vent your spleen can I request that you at least get your facts straight. David Goulet isn't the Parent Council Chair. In fact he hasn't been for the past 2 years. Of course you would know this if you had actually took a genuine interest in the activities at the school that YOUR CHILD attends. So if you have a concern with the way the school conducts itself

Me and my brother went to this elementary school like about 20 years ago. They have mine and my brother's gr 8 graduation pictures up on the wall right by the office. I graduate first then after 3 years, my brother graduate after me. And now my son goes there and he's grade 5 now. It's right by my apartment like 5 mins walk. All the teachers are caring to my son and helps him alot.It is an awesome elementary school.

Some teachers lies in your face and refuse to help my 6 grade child. Staff at the front desk specially one is glasses is rude. She gives attitude of a model but doesn't realize how old and weird she looks. My son teacher is unhelpful and inconsiderate. The principal is not just acts dumb but IS dumb and liar. Before/ After hour care teachers are very unprofessional and nasty. And David goulet we all know you are the school chair and had to write that review to kiss up some people. We understand.

My goodness....I genuinely had to take a moment and step back from the reviews posted herein. Having had the benefit (as a parent with two girls at St Monica's) of witnessing St Monica and other schools compete (in a sporting fashion) at the recent soccer championships, I have to wonder about the sentiment behind the posts that have preceded this one. I saw two committed St Monica female coaches do exactly what they are there to do - support, encourage and direct their team in a way that sees them compete in a competitive & sporting fashion. They did this gracefully and with full concentration on their own team and were respectful to others around them. To suggest otherwise frankly is shameful and in truth there are so many inaccuracies and untruths in previous posts it would be a waste of time and negative energy to respond to specifics. Each of the teams that competed, each of the coaches, the watching parents and most importantly the girls behaved in a manner that was befitting and worthy of a sporting TCDSB event. Winning in such occasions is often an irrelevance....competing and responding to whatever outcome comes your way with humility and integrity is really what matters. For six years I have watched St Monica's teachers commit, honour and support their students in many sports, and frankly overachieve given the scant resources available to them. They do so in a manner that respects the school's reputation and indeed that of the TCDSB. In a world where it's so easy to live one's life online I have seldom felt the need to respond to posts such as those previous but on this occasion I'm afraid a healthy dose of reality is required. Those invested in promoting such fiction should concentrate on more meaningful activities going forward rather than disrespecting other schools in the board and more importantly the teachers that give so much to support their students. To the St Monica coaches...more of the same please. Your endeavour, investment and confidence in your students is both appreciated and welcomed in equal measure. Thank you.

This school is extremely unsanitary. Someone was not feeling well and had thrown up all over the floor of the classroom, so of course the janitor came and “cleaned” it. As in took a mop, dunked it in water, and smeared the vomit and made it spread. Residue/left overs of the vomit was left there the ENTIRE school year and was never cleaned. Who knows how many other messes were “cleaned” so poorly. Avoid sending your kids here. Absolutely disgusting!

Such a great school. I'm glad to have been my daughter able to attend this school. This school is so great. First off, the staff and teachers here are so great. The teachers here truly show what it means to be a teacher. They are all very caring and friendly. The overall school is very nice and clean. Not many students here, so its not as busy or crowded as other schools near this area.
