Glen Lake Groomers

Love this place! I was referred to Glen Lake Groomers by my mom who has brought her dog here for years. When my dog was a puppy and matted, they took great care of him and made him feel calm and comfortable. I just brought my dog back for another appointment and they gave him the most beautiful haircut! I requested to get in ASAP and booked an appointment about a week out. When there was a cancellation, they called me back to see if I wanted the spot. I thought that was great customer service! Prices are very reasonable (they are cash-or-check only). The gals who work here are very friendly. We will be bringing our dog here for all of his grooming needs. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable, affordable groomer. Our mini-schnauzer had her first appointment in January. We were fortunate to get an appointment and it was a very good experience. She needed some extra work as we'd needed to wait a number of weeks for an opening. There was an up-charge for the extra work involved. Nail trimming was included, making charges about $75 total. Payment in cash/check was as advertised. Drop-off was quick and care was taken to avoid Covid exposure. Puppy was done in about an hour and pick-up went smoothly. We'll be back for the next trim. Reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is due to the wait for the appointment.

I have taken my golden retriever here for a couple of years now. I had a conversation with the owner about the correct way to groom a golden prior to my first visit. She assured me she was an expert and would groom correctly. I was satisfied after the first visit but that was all. Another time when I dropped my dog off and I wanted to confirm my dog would be groomed by her, she was very short with me and with her response. She called me on my way home to ask a question about the grooming and I thought we were on the same page and everything was on track. When I picked him up, again the owner was very cold and impersonable.On each visit since then, the owner couldn’t be more cold and rude. She also nicked my dog’s paw and did not let me know. I will not be back and I do not recommend this business. Friendly and welcoming they are NOT!

Was great the first two times, but the last time our poor pup had clipper burn all over his forehead and near his eyes. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Save your pets.Why would I go back to the same place that did this to my dog?That is a BS excuse from glen lake grooming. These burns happened <24 hours after we picked him up. These were burns and they did nothing to remedy the situation.Poor excuse of groomers. Save your pets and your wallets. CLOSE GLEN LAKE GROOMERS

We have taken our dog here a couple of times and they did a decent job. But today we brought him for an appointment and the younger woman that greeted me lamented about how busy she was, complained that she didn't realize it was a full groom, and then complained to the other woman about being behind. I asked if I should reschedule since she seemed so stressed, and the other woman, an older woman with an accent, who has groomed my dog before (and did a good job), said they would do it because we had an appointment. She warned me it would take until 5 (I had a noon appointment) because the owner had removed their dryer and it would take my dog hours to dry. When my fiance brought him home, he had a wound on his back leg, seemingly from the clippers they used on his legs. Subpar customer service from the younger woman, then my dog was injured besides - which they didn't bother to mention, and there's no way they didn't realize they did this. Not only will we never be back, but I will be telling anyone that listens not to go near this place.

We've been taking our dog there for over a year and we've been generally pleased with their work but recently they had to reschedule our appointment because of illness of the groomer, they rescheduled for the next day, they then called early the next morning to reschedule again, I informed them we were heading out of town later that day for a week, called when we returned and was informed the next available appointment was almost two months out. Just don't seem right. So we are in search of a new groomer.
