Upper Canada Child Care at Shaughnessy PS

My kid is very happy attending the Shaughnessy child care and he loves to go to this school. Teachers and associates are very friendly and helpful. Most important he loves all his teachers.

My daughter is 2 years and 2 months and it’s about 3 months that she’s in Shaughnessy Children’s centre. I am so satisfied and thankful for all of their wonderful work and attention to their children. It’s third daycare that my daughter is in before this I changed 2 daycares because my daughter wasn’t so happy but from the first day she came here she’s so happy and all time she goes and back happily which makes me surprised. Thank you so much for your attention all staff work there specially toddler room.

My daughter was enrolled in their pre-school program. I want to express an immense thank you to all the staff at Shaughnessy for their great work and efforts done for my daughter during her time there. You could always feel the positive energy from the minute you pulled up to the parking lot. The assistant supervisor and caregivers are A+, very professional, patient and welcoming.

My son had to come here for a little over a month due to school & daycare closures so he was enrolled for emergency daycare. I *thought* I made the right choice by enrolling him here as he goes to the sister location of this daycare and we both love it. We had constant accident reports which was fine but the day before his last day was the day I realized how much I hated this daycare. Beware if your child’s teachers name is along the line of “Ms. Ronak?” Not sure and could careless at this moment. She made an accident report with a false narrative to protect herself stating that it was a “self conflicted injury” that my son caused and SHE was the one that hurt my son. They offered to “adjust the accident report” but why wasn’t that the ORIGINAL story on my child’s accident report in the first place? The supervisor was very helpful and on top of that situation however, I feel that was not enough I have been pushing off going directly to the director and board of this daycare but I believe I have to as I do not think enough has been done to deal with this situation as she only got a slap on the hand and didn’t even get written up or brought up to the directors. I am my sons voice and she cannot do this to a 5 year old and to other children. I am beyond happy that he is out of this daycare and back to his original daycare. I also have a bone to pick with his other teacher however this situation has outweighed hers by a lot.

I have 2 children that attend the child care in toddler and school age. The staff are friendly, caring and professional. They are able to communicate with me anything about my kids day or anything I need to be aware of. I trust the staff to support my children in all aspects of their development. Many of the staff have been there a long time which reflects stability, familiarity and a comfortable setting. The supervisor and assistant supervisor are well equipped to deal with my needs as a parent and are always available to answer and assist when requested.

My kids love this place, love Ms Julie Babbock who is a wonderful caring person and love the teachers. I have no complains at all. We've been to the other daycares and we preferred this one because of the atmosphere. As a parent I was always welcomed to stay with my children in the classroom for as long as I wanted/ my children needed me to be. My kid has severe allergies and I'm sure that he is well taken care of, especially by Ms. Babbock. This daycare has become a second home to my children and I could have never dreamt of anything else.

Institution are only as good as the people that work there. This review is to celebrate amazing teachers like Shamin. My daughter does not just love her but she is growing and learning everyday because of her. Thank you Shamin for everything :)

Very positive experiences with Shaughnessy Children's Centre. Amazing staff and administration. Children have been enrolled for 3 years and the photo memories will last a lifetime. Special thanks to Ms.Ronaque along with Ms.Oksana Ms.Jefford, Ms.Shamin Ms.Tracee Ms.Amy Ms.Hetty and the many supportive staff members. Your dedication and support is appreciated!

It’s my daughter’s second year attending the centre and we are super happy, great activities, educators are super approachable and friendly. Ms Rounaque is so kind and my daughter loves her.
