I took my car in for two reasons. I needed an oil change and the right rear brake light wasn't working. I was told there was a problem with the threads on my oil pan and it would need to be replaced. I was also told that the circuit board that controlled the tail light needed to be replaced. They would look for parts and call me. Many phone calls and messages left with no result. I would call and be told the parts weren't available. Month after month. After 5 months I gave up. Took my vehicle to a different garage. Bulbs replaced same day and tail light works great. It wasn't the circuit board. Oil pan located and ordered same day. I don't know what was going on with them but it was terrible service. Skills and customer service were awful. I would talk to Derek and he would always say he would call me right back. He never once called back. I went in to see what the hold-up was and he said he would call me. Don't treat customers like this. If you're too busy or can't help them then tell them. Stringing people along is unprofessional.

I can’t express enough how much gratitude I have for this place. I have had problem after problem with my ‘04 Santa Fe and I have dealt with a few mechanics that were either lazy and did half the work or incredibly rude to me (or both!)I have had this certain problem with my car since July, but I was so scared to have to find another auto shop I just ignored it. This place was recommended by 2 friends and now I know why. Derek was incredibly kind to me from the start, he made sure he listened to all my concerns and addressed them individually, even making sure that once the main concern was fixed he did another test drive to put my mind at ease. He remained extremely professional the entire time and even showed me the faulty part. I felt like the price I paid for the fix was very reasonable, but I am more deeply thrilled about my overall experience and the care and consideration he took to make sure I was happy leaving the shop. I know it’s 2021, but as a female I still feel like some shops take us for a ride…. I definitely didn’t feel this way, I wasn’t made out to feel dumb or anything along those lines. Took my car for a test drive and for the first time in months I haven’t been scared to drive it! I can’t thank you enough!!! Incredible service :)

They always provide terrific service with a fair price for parts and labour. I never feel upcharged on anything they've done and they're great at explaining whats needed. They even replaced a water pump that was defective free of charge even though it was several months after the initial replacement. Highly recommended.

I've come to Cedar Hill Auto for multiple years of regular vehicle maintenance. Derek and crew do high quality, efficient and reasonably priced work with friendly, above-and-beyond service. It is such a gift to have a good and trustworthy mechanic.

Derek, and crew found a few issues, that the usual maintainer did not check. 1st , the wheels were not balanced, 2nd the steering was not in alignment, 3rd the resulting tire rubber was out of round. We now feel safe for our upcoming 3000+ miles. Bravo Zulu guys. THANK YOU..

I have used this company for both our cars for years and had many good experiences. Most recently however I had all weather tires ordered and installed and there were several things that happened to make this experience frustrating. Particularly, that I was told the service would take 1.5 hours and ended up taking nearly double that. This was significant for me because I had my 4 month old baby with me and would have planned differently for such a difference in time. I then wrote an email to express my experience and frustration and haven't heard back in over a month. I won't likely choose to return.

Derek and the team at Cedar Hill are the best! They're honest, responsive and have great customer service. They do what they can to limit your costs and have very fair pricing. For example, my vehicle required a laundry list of non-urgent repairs and maintenance that they've been chipping away at with each oil change. This lets me save and be ready financially for the costs and have predictability about when to expect them. I can usually get my car in within a week of calling, and they have recently added a client portal online with booking, service reminders and access to your car's service history (love this!). I've been a client since 2021 and won't go elsewhere. Highly recommend.

We have been taking our cars here for years and have always had a great experience. Derrick and his team have been fantastic and I really like how they take the time to explain everything in plain English. From small oil changes to bigger fixes, they do it all.
