Brad and LizWe want to thank the staff of Bostech for the great experience we had from the purchase and installation of a new GeoSmart QT064 geothermal unit. Our old unit failed us at the end of February and after an exhausting look for parts; the old unit couldn't be repaired. We sent out tenders to five companies and John Bosman of Bostech made us a deal we felt very satisfied with. I must add I investigated this company and not only were the reviews good but competitors lauded them as well.Once ordered the unit was manufactured and installed 3 weeks later. We would like to thank Rick and Wes two very professional installers for their fine workmenship and putting up with our (my) questions. They are highly knowledgeable and dedicated to making the customer feel comfortable and informed to how to operate the equipment.My wife and I are very pleased with the unit and would recommend Bostech to anyone.Thanks again to the whole teamBrad White

Rob came way out of his way (literally) to help us with our geothermal which had a refrigerant leak - rather than trying to patch it, he cut out the leaking portion and replaced it, tested it, and recharged. In addition, he checked the loop pressure, capacitors, relays, etc - everything that a really good service call should include. He worked efficiently and really knew what he was doing - the best experience we've had with geothermal servicing in well over 10 years.....We will definitely want him to come back!

We just had Bostech Mechanical install a geothermal water to water heating system in our house. All the people we came in contact with from the moment of getting a quote to the commissioning of the installation were professional, knowledgeable and very responsive. The technicians who installed the system were definitely masters of their craft. We could tell they cared about their reputation. The technicians did a very clean and precise job. They even discovered a deficiency with a previously installed system(by a different contractor)and corrected it. I have nothing but praise for the entire team.Thank youAndrei

We moved to our new home a few months ago. It was a bit of a disaster. We found the Bostech label on the furnace and called to get some help.It didn't take long for them to attend to our concerns. They were pleasant, and thorough, and fairly priced. They even went beyond the required tasks, and helped us out with a few non-furnace jobs! Mark and Dave did an excellent job on the install and we're very happy with the system. We found communication with the office staff to be lacking. Apart from the initial consult months before the install, we did not receive much information unless we asked. Perhaps a job foreman to call or email a week before the job to give a rundown of what is needed for prep or what will be happening would be helpful.

We recently had Bostech upgrade our heating system from a very old oil furnace to an inground heat pump and we couldn’t be more satisfied! From top to bottom everyone at Bostech has been very professional, helpful, and willing to work with us to come up with a system and installation that meets our needs.It has been a pleasure dealing with them, everyone was courteous, and at the end of everyday the jobsite was left in a clean state with no mess to deal with. The job was planned out thoroughly so that we all knew exactly what kind of work was to be done, what the time frame was, and what the finished results would be. They worked efficiently, orderly and communicated well with us regarding the status of work and any questions that came up.The new system has been working flawlessly and what a difference it is! I went from worrying about the old heating system everyday and maintaining a supplemental pellet stove for heat to barely giving the heating a second thought. Plus, thanks to their system we now have air-conditioning which this house has never had, and it automatically switches between the two! Truly a modern, hands-off system -never having to worry about fuel quantity/price or changing from heat to a/c is a very big perk.All in all, they are a very professional team that made the job go smoothly. We highly recommend them and will happily look to them for any future work that we need!

The folks at Bostech we’re very respectful, careful, and tidy. You can see they take pride in their work. There was a slight communication hiccup at the start, but no big deal in the grand scheme of things.What really impressed me was their integrity; there was part of the job (removing the old oil tank from the basement) that the Bostech crew started and then realized they were not able to complete, they called in another contractor to finish the job. I was expecting them to tell me I had to pay this second contractor, however they did not, it was taken care of.I had one beef it would be the state that my back yard was left in, which was a surprise to me. The quote clearly said that landscaping was not included. I suppose I should have asked more about that statement. My back yard was flat, What I expected was that the ground would be restored to a reasonably flat state and that I could sew grass seed or sod over it. The actual state is that there are big ruts and mounds that will need a lot of work before I can lay grass down.I hope I don’t ever have to install another geothermal system, but if I do, I’d choose Bostech (but we’d talk a lot more about what “landscaping not included” means).

Bostech Mechanical installed a geothermal system at our home early this spring to replace an aging propane furnace, air conditioner and propane hot water heater . Finding enough space for the ground loops was a challenge due to the location of underground electrical, buildings and trees, however the Bostech team did an excellent job creatively fitting everything so it worked well. Installing ground loops does leave turned up soil that will require landscaping. We were prepared for that and now that the grass is growing again, you cannot even tell where the loops are.We were able to take advantage of the Canada Green Homes Grant to offset part of the cost of the geothermal system.We are very happy with our geothermal system so far. Operating costs appear to be significantly lower than heating with propane and our home is more comfortable. The Bostech team was very professional, both for the installation of the ground loop during a January snow storm and later when installing the geothermal unit and hot water heater inside our home.We highly recommend Bostech Mechanical based on their professionalism, their willingness to answer our questions and the quality of the products they sell and install.

we had the geothermal heating and a/c installed Aug./21The installation of the 'unit' itself went well and very professional.The installation of the in ground ducting was a disaster!The piping was installed on the wrong agreed to side of the house. We had cleared about 1/4 of a newly installed garden on the west side of the house and placed it under some trees at the back of the house out of the way. The pipes were installed on the east side of the house and they went in the house under another garden on the same side. A very large (road construction size) excavator was used to do the trenching and in my opinion, was too large for the job. It was also used to backfill the trenches and from my construction experience, you do not backfill with an excavator. There was numerous damages done by the excavator including branches on the trees at the back of the house and the 1/4 new garden we had removed from the west side of the house.We have now received an estimate of $10,000.00 from a landscape company, to do repairs (fill, level and topsoil) the mess left by the excavator!Last fall Bostech did agree to pay for a skid steer for me to do repairs myself, but the ground was too wet to make much progress.
