Royal Canadian Lodge

My wife and I had a night away from the kids this past weekend. They then came out to Banff the next night to stay a total of 2 nights. Pool was a great size for my young girls. We as parents enjoyed the large hot tub. Very pleasant pool area with plants and decor perfect after a cold winter day. The room and bathroom were spacious and the hotel was quite. My only criticism I found the bed soft but that is a preference thing no slight to the establishment. The staff were great very service driven. The house keeping were too notch. We didn't get a chance to try restaurant on site but had heard good things and lounge is nice. We definitely plan to come back for our next visit. Great job to the Royal Canadian Lodge team.

We had a really amazing experience this week at the Royal Canadian lodge. The staff was super friendly and the concierge Neil was so helpful and nice. He gave us perfect recommendations for every night and they were all fantastic. He obviously knows the area super well.We were sad to leave!Pool and hot tub were great too- nice ambiance and ideal for after a long day of ski.Location was great, 7 minute walk to downtown and shuttle to the hills comes right next door.Thank you guys again!

Our stay was going well. The gentleman who greeting us at the door was very nice! Until night time receptionist showed up. I called to ask if they had paper plates, for my wife and I for our dessert. And his tone was sooo rude, he said NO and hung up on me. I called back and asked why he hung up, he said im busy bye, and hung up again. Worse receptionist I have ever experienced. The next morning the front staff apologized on his behalf and said he’s new, but that doesn’t mean you be rude to people.

Stayed one night in a two queen bedroom. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location is good. My room had a partial view of mountains. The pool was clean and towels readily available. Small fitness room has a tv, treadmill, weights, mat, universal gym equipment, and bike. I would stay here again but would pay for an upgraded room.

The hotel rooms are nice. The pool and spa was a bonus and kept clean. The restaurant seemed to have random hours - partly due to staffing issues according to some of the workers. The location was a quick walk to the downtown or via the ROAM bus #1. Parking was about $19-20 Canadian per night or you could street park for free in certain areas.

Hotel was good with nice beds and tv's. Parking is underneath the building and costs $20. Rooms are slightly outdated but still nice. Overall good and I would probably stay here again.

Place was fine, a little dated. Our room overlooked a boarded-up building.. they didn't clean our room the first couple of days.. small kind of funny note, there's a sign as you come out of the garage saying our staff has cleaned your windshield so you can enjoy your views while you're driving. Never happened. on the brighter side, the concierge Neil, was very helpful and friendly.

Great hotel! Very quiet and clean. When choosing hotel, quiet is my top concern. And this hotel let me sleep all night long. Also very comfortable whirlpool. High temp and strong power. Next to a public kids playground so another great surprise.

Beautiful 'Canadian Lodge' hotel on the outskirts of Banff, easily walkable into the town.Very comfortable beds, fire place and tea/coffee making facilities.I really enjoyed my stay there but the only thing is that the bar/restaurant isn't open on certain days due to lack of staff.
