High Energy Gas & Wood

As 1st time homeowners, we shopped around a while before finding High Energy in Metcalfe. They were incredibly professional (Dom was patient taking our constant calls!) and did excellent work. Jack was awesome and they delivered on time (and faster than their competitors). He was very conscious of safety and only made recommendations that made sense for us financially, logistically and creatively. We couldn't be happier and won't hesitate to recommend them again to anyone!

We bought a Jotul gas stove and are very happy with the unit.We are even happier with the sales, service and installation experience with High Energy. From the initial consultation, through the quote, the installation and the follow up it was a fully positive experience. I certainly recommend them to you if you are planning anything to do with a fireplace or stove.

I had a Jotul Oslo wood stove installed by Jack and his team in November 2022. I am very pleased with my stove so far. The installation was expertly done and the customer service was excellent throughout the whole process.

Jack and team did a great job... showed up early and came back the next day to install an add on I requested as promised. Very happy customer here and I highly recommend them.

Contacted this firm by telephone describing the situation and what I believed was needed. Confirmed this with a follow-up email when I was contacted by them the following day.There was no suggestion on either occasion that the issue I described was outside the scope of this establishment. I was advised the representative would visit in a little over a month.He arrived yesterday, addressing me with, What can I do for you?"We'd established that five weeks ago. When I repeated my needs he said

Have had three fire places installed by this business over the last three years (one wood stove, two propane). They are very professional and never leave a mess behind them. I am extremely pleased with the work they did. I would use them again but I would probably be questioned for my obsession with fire places. Highly recommend!

We bought our fireplace from Jack a few years ago and would recommend him in a heartbeat. He's super knowledgeable - which we needed since we didn't have an existing fireplace/chimney. Prices are way better than buying in Ottawa. We used his brother for the installation....also rave reviews for him. All-in-all we're super pleased.

We requested a representative to visit us to discuss options best suited for our home to replace an aged and non compliant system. Appointment was scheduled in 2 weeks. After the appointment we had to wait another 2 weeks for a quote which required me constantly following up. The quote was high and confusing so we went to the shop to see the stove and discuss our options. The sales rep did not know that the technician who visited us was planning to open up our wall for reinforcement so he could not answer our questions very well. Having the wall ripped open is not something we take lightly. Then the sales rep said he would 'rework the numbers' so I received a new quote slightly lower. When I asked for a detailed quote for our accounting, it was still over simplified in an email and not listed out by parts. We ended up going somewhere else, received great service, saved $2000.00, got a detailed quote by line item and did NOT have to rip open our wall.

They are very professional and never leave a mess behind them. I am extremely pleased with the work they did. I would use them again. Highly recommend!
