We took our pontoon there as they were recommended by a friend, that was on April 25th. We were originally told it would take 2 weeks to make it lake ready. We were not called for over a month, then they told us everything that needed to be done so it would be ready to go. Well, after paying over $1000. and a service call out to our lake as fuel line was not hooked up on June 10, they said it would be fine. The shifter is bad and it wont move!!! We will not be going back there for repairs as the trust is gone! We were more than willing to pay what we needed to get it running and lake ready, but dont leave your customers out here feeling like something was done correctly and it clearly was not!!

Great Company! I own a commercial tour boat business on Lake Minnetonka and Steve and his staff always take care of me. I have used them for 4 years now and have zero issues! Highly recommend.

These guys are old school. They believe in doing things right the first time and at an affordable rate. I would not take my pontoon anywhere else.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. We called in advance and was told 2-3 weeks before they could get to our pontoon. Called today and was told we could be waiting for 6 WEEKS! We never would have taken it there if it would take us until the middle of July to get our pontoon back. Front desk staff needs to be updated and courtesy calls given if you lose staff and turn around time is going to double! This is not good business practices. Pulling the pontoon and taking it to another place that can get us in within 6 days! I will be sure to tell everyone on the Briggs Lake Chain NOT to use this company.

I met Steve the owner 11 years ago when he worked at a large boat dealer service department in Maple Lake. I took my boat there for a repair. The shop manager told me I needed to tear the out drive apart and replace major components. Steve was walking by and took an independent look and said my prop shaft was not bent and all I needed was a new prop or prop repair. I had them do the prop repair and saved a ton over what the service manager told me. From that day forward, nobody but Steve has worked on my boats and when that big dealer shut down, I followed Steve to his new shop, Z-Marine in Clearwater. Every year he winterizes and services my boats and stores them. He has my total trust and loyalty. I drive an hour to take my boats to him even though I have shops within 10 minutes of my house. Trust in a repair shop is worth its weight in gold from my perspective which is the reason I wanted to post a review. Great guy and great family helping run the shop.

I had a cable break on my new mans Lift.I called Z Marine and talked to steve the owner he asked me the model number on the lift and of course I had no idea. He then asked what the dimensions of the lift were so I measured and emailed him pictures and he knew immediately the parts neccessary to fix it. Steve said he would order the cableAnd set up a time to put it in and I agreed. After the phone call I looked at the other cables and noticed they were all rusty in certain spots so I called him back and asked him to order new cables all the way around Steve called me back and quoted me a price on all the cables and I agreed. Steve called me yesterday to let me know the cables had arrived and would like to come out and put them in.Steve showed up within a half hour with his assistant Eugene they looked at the lift sitting in the waterAnd Steve jumped into the water up to his waist in his work uniform and boots no waders.Steve looking out for his employee asked him to go put on his waders from the truck and they proceeded to move the lift into shallow water to work on it while in the lake. After moving it Steve noticed a wheel was missing as the pin holding it in had fallen out and the wheel must have floated away. And told me he had one at his store and would grab it later.Steve and Eugene spent seven hours replacing these cables and the job was time consuming as the discount place I purchased the lift from 4 years earlier had smashed the pulleys in way too tight and because of this the lift never worked properlyBut Steve carefully took the entire lift apart and put it back together carefully making certain the pulleys were exactly right. At one point during this repair Steve pointed out that a little washer was missing from one of the pulleys and he wanted that little washer to make it perfect. I offered to drive back to his store to pick it up and after some resistance he agreed to let me run this errand while he continued working on the other end.I got to the Store and Steves daughter was cheerfully waiting at the door with the parts I neededAnd said hey Dad said to grab this wheel too. She couldn't have been more friendly.On the way back I couldn't stop thinking how amazing this customer service was across the boardSo I stopped and grabbed some burgers for Steve and Eugene I invited them to sit on the deck and eat lunch and they thanked me quite a few times.Steve finished the repair and we rolled it back to its spot taking extra time to make certain it was level and he waded in waste high water insisting on helping me put the pontoon on the lift and after raising and lowering a few times he was finally satisfied the repair was complete. I offered him a towel for the ride home and he reluctantly agreed.Today I stopped in to pay my bill and his daughter handed me back my towel clean and foldedThe owner of Z marine stood in the lake fully clothed cheerfully working on my boat lift for 7 hours even after finding this to be a much bigger job than expected making sure his employee had waders onSteve takes pride in his work and it shows.This level of customer service is extremely rare and Awesome! I know why Z marines customers are customers for life.My next lift and dock will be from Z Marine

Excellent service from an honest family owned shop. Ladies at the counter were great, and the mechanic did an awesome job with my boat. It runs better than new.
