Take Note Pens & Stationery Store
Love shopping local but unfortunately my experience was dreadful. Although staff were pleasant and products interesting, the owner and my particular purchase were the opposite. In early 2020 I purchased a Lamay fountain pen with a refillable reservoir. Over an 18 month period it malfunctioned four times; three with the same issue. The first repair was done while I waited but the following three each took 6-8 weeks for completion. It felt as though the pen was gone more than I was using it. When I took it in for repair the fourth time, I suggested to the owner that perhaps this particular pen was a “lemon” and should simply be replaced. My comment was ignored and I was advised that she needed to hear from her supplier first. The e-mail I sent requesting an update was also ignored. After eight weeks the pen was finally returned to me and is functioning fine (so far). Would not recommend this store.

Very nice pen, paper and ink store. Lots of different and cool items. Just bought all of the above, by the way. I really recommend this store.

Full disclosure, I was not prompted to leave a review, however, I felt obligated and moved to, not because this store has an amazing selection, being integrated into the neighborhood, with pleasant vibes all the time...I was moved to write this review because of how awesome each human who works here truly are! Every interaction I've had for years has always been genuine and meaningful. Please support local. Please visit this shop. Please, Take Note, keep doing what you have been. The fine-black ink-space pen-refill-guy, salutes you!

Nice selection of Japanese paper goods and fun cards, pins and board games. I got my midori 5 year journal from here. Prices are comparable to other stationery shops in the city. The owners were very nice and helpful. They also had some fun cards from local artists and a wide range of fountain pens and inks. They also have 0.4mm gel pens, which can be hard to come by locally.

I visited this store for the first time yesterday, looking for an ink I knew they had in stock and browsing for a note pad. It's a nicely laid out small store with a decent selection of pen things and paper. The one jarring note was they had a display of pens (Sailor?) with different nibs set up to try. These were fastened into a holder, and I went to pull it out of the cap (the part fastened down). It didn't come out. The sales person who'd just put my ink on the counter told me it unscrews, not pulls out. I felt sort of foolish for not realizing this. I told this woman, I thought it would pull out -- since this would make sense in a display of this nature. I was told rather condescendingly, Good pens unscrew. They don't pull out." Ouch. I already felt foolish. This just unnecessarily drove that home. And no

This is a carefully stocked stationery store on the Junction-Dundas strip. They have a good supply of writing instruments of all price points to suit students and collectors. They also carry quality inks, refills, paper products, neat office supplies and more. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Check it out and find a gift, something you need or can't resist!

The best pen and stationery store in the city! It's always a pleasure to visit Take Note and to socialise with Jolanta. I've bought many things from Jolanta's shop over the years, including several fountain pens (Sailor, Platinum, TWSBI, Lamy) and heaps of paper and notebooks. Most recently I purchased a few Hobonichi accessories, including the pictured A6 planner/notebook cover and stencils. If you're in Toronto's junction area, make sure you pop in! Fun! A+

I don’t think I’ve ever walked into this stores and left empty handed. By far one of the not only stationary stores but best gift stores in the city. So glad to host them in the Junction and hopefully they would never leave the hood. The owners love their work and they get really cool new things every months if not every week lolBonus, maybe the only stores in the city which carries a lot of the School of Life publications and merchandises.Friendly staff and the prices are good too. Always a fun visit.

This is one of the neatest shops in the city! They have a great variety and comfortable price range of pens, pencils, markers, notebooks, accessories and cases, drawing pads, etc. I thought I would be intimidated my first visit but the owner Jolanta and staff are always so friendly and helpful to everyone, whether you're in for a $5 birthday card or a $55 fountain pen. It's been a pleasure coming here for gifts every year and bringing loved ones in so they can do the same.My last purchases were for stationary my partner and I can use for our Dungeons & Dragons sessions and these tools have made it even more fun noting down our adventures!
