My family moved to Port Hope recently, unfortunately we did not receive a warm welcome to Our Lady Of Mercy parish. We were questioned by the priest at a time of great grief in our lives and spoken to with lack of compassion or respect.

Not the ordinary spiritual presentation I remember of years ago. But a feeling of wanting to be here, closer to God & his Son Jesus, who are the only way to forgiveness of my sins, that when I pass away I will again be with my beloved Wife who I know is in Heaven. God Bless Father McMahon for his true kindness to all .

The priest is so miserable, he belittling women, and always drunk , very rude , threatening at times, wont turn on the lights outside the church for night time, which makes the church be seen across town.

Hard to say, it was my grandfather's funeral, during COVID.... nice that the church could accommodate our immediate family.

Great priest. True man of God. My family needed help with food and St. Vincent De' Paul went above and beyond most any other charity with foodstuffs. Very friendly people. Historically, well preserved and maintained church. Beautiful inside and the landscaping too.
