My experience at Discount is always very pleasant.. The staff at location on 4827 Boul Métropolitain E, Saint-Léonard are very knowledgeable and especially Mohamed is a great employee.

We have rented a car on two separate occasions here, both ending in a logistical nightmare. The first was a tire issue that resulted in being told several times it wouldn't be our financial responsibility and getting billed for it anyway weeks after returning the car.The second event was a scratch that was on the car upon return of the vehicle which we took full responsibility of despite not having seen it prior to receiving the report. I requested multiple documents from Discount Auto through phone calls and e-mails that were unanswered and not returned. When I was able to get through to a human on the other end, I was promised documentation that I did not receive within one week following the phone conversation. Following this, I opted to request they send the documents as I was on the phone with them so that I could confirm receipt, to which they responded they have no obligation to do this (I acknowledge the fact that they have no obligation to do this, however in the name of customer service and after how long I'd waited for them to send the documentation, I expected a little more openness to this simple request).It has been four months since the scratch was reported and the insurance claim was started and I only just recently received the rest of the paperwork to submit to insurance. To take it one step further, the documentation states payment is due within 30 days of receipt of a letter that was sent to me May 4 and that they would charge the credit card if it hadn't been paid. It's been nine days since this letter was sent and they took the liberty to charge our credit card.We rent a car every time we come to Montreal, which is several times per year. Two out of two times we've rented through Discount Auto have we been cursed with their lack of quality customer service and responsiveness. We have not had issues with any other rental company.I'm sure that if a car has no issues whatsoever OR you pay the absurd fees of insurance through the agency, business here is fine, however driving and parking in the city means there is risk involved and since we have rental insurance through our own insurance we opted out. The claims process is simple and all we needed from them was simple documentation they had (pictures, repair estimates, etc.). Why it took so long to get them, and why they decided to charge our card prior to the 30 days is beyond me.

Little problem with my reservation I made by phone the Wednesday for Saturday morning (they said they don’t have any reservation on my name) but Abdel dealt really well with the situation and found me a truck.The 16 feet truck was A1. I took the unlimited km plan and it cost me around 150$ for 24h + 30$ gaz. I drove maybe 180 km with the truck.Customer service 5/5Ask for a confirmation number if you call.

I rented a 12 foot cube van.It was newer model,clean , sanitized and ready at the reserved time. Interaction with staff was professional and efficient.Returned same day just before closing .Very satisfied with this rental.

Very bad experience, they charged me 2 extras days and I called them for refund. I called them 5 times and all what they said is the system shows the refund was done. They told me 3 times I will call to the head office to make sure and call you back after 30minutes. You know what, they never called me back. All that process took me 1 month and I still havent receive my refund. I even called my bank to make sure, but there werent any refund history from discount. Horrible experience and need to contact them again.
