My daughter says: Try not to take any English classes (aside from grade 9 English). You will have a better chance at finding a decent English teacher in summer school. I have also heard from the teachers that students are caring less and less every year although this statement may apply to other schools as well.""

Only a few teachers seemed to actually care about the students. For sports this school mainly focused on basketball and volleyball.

Good school overall, but me and various other members of the community feel like the school should of been named Alfred J. Smith Secondary School. Named after a man who helped shaped young minds.

Lots of good memories from VSS. Good math and science department. Only advice would be to avoid the English courses here.
