Camping Bon Desir

Great camping spot overlooking the Gulf of St-Lawrence. Not too much privacy but the view is totally awesome. Clean bathrooms and showers (showers are $1 for 5 minutes). They also have a common room and laundromat. This is our second time camping in that spot and both time were enjoyable. Great spot!!

Very clean sites and amenities. Showers available for 1CAD/5mins. Drinkable water at all water taps. Ice and firewood available for purchase at the office.

This place rules, no swimming or fishing really but you can fish from the marina like 9km down the road…. There’s a lookout at the top of the campsite and if you watch from the road you can see lots of belugas and some like other bigger whales so bring binoculars because it’s wild. I saw lots of friendly ducks, a bunch ofPartridges and some of those little weasels running around…. Crazy 10/10Weather can change real fast tho so be prepared for that!

Beautiful, meticulously landscaped and maintained campground. Not enough serviced sites: if you need electricity you’re generally stuck at the treeless RV parking lots. Would love to stay at one of the beautiful wooded or waterfront sites if they add electrical someday. Also, if you’re at one of the RV sites for electrical but not in an RV you have a really long hike to any bathrooms or showers. Great for primitive campers and RVs but not so much for the hybrid set.

This is a great campground. The tent sites all have a stellar view of the river. I prefer higher up by the duck pond, overlooking everything. The site and facilities are clean and well maintained. $1 shower last twice a long as you need. The trail to Cap du Bon Desir seems to be about 40% longer than marked, if i trust my FitBit. But still very nice!Don't miss the sunrises!

Gorgeous green setting overlooking the Fleuve Saint-Laurent. Campsites well dispersed, offering up to 3 services. Washrooms well-kept. Host was super friendly!! There's a nice hiking trail that goes to a beach under a km away.

Good experience camping early July. It is 20 minute drive from Tadoussac. Online booking not working so it was a little inconvenient to book site over phone. But staff were efficient and friendly. English fluent. Sites are relatively small. They charge extra for little things like extra tents, people, showers, etc. So the costs add up. Showers were$1 for 6 minutes. Well worth it. Bathrooms and showers were a bit of a walk for young kids and seniors up a hill, but clean. Includes washing station for dishes.We stayed on a panoramic site. Shaded site so there were lots of mosquitoes!! Bring bug spray or stay in your gazebo. Our van had a little difficulty on one particular steep part of the road, tires got stuck spinning, but well maintained otherwise.The view was excellent. No whales. Lots of seagulls; very noisy. 4am they are still squawking, and birds are chirping. So I got up to watch the sunrise - which I normally never wake up in time to see...Bring earplugs, eyemask and bug spray if you are light sleeper.

One of the best camping spot i ever been to. You can't beat the view, it is calm and has everything you would need. great play area for your kids!! it is so nice i plan on going back for sure!

Great spot for nature and St Lawrence view. Each camping lot is wide enough to leave a great space between two customers. BUT ... The road to access the St Lawrence shore camping lots is very dangerous and can become undrivable after a simple rainstorm. Wi-Fi that is promised along the road 138 only work around the entrance office and is not really working anywhere else.There are not enough restrooms in the camping. And no beach access stairs is given from the camping.So... Great place for Nature and view but some details have to be changed to make this place a camping to come again.
