Ski and Snowboard School - Whistler Blackcomb
This is our third time doing ski school at Whistler over a 5-6 year period. The school used to be more like a camp where the kids stayed with the same instructor for the week. That was way better! Ski school management team- PLEASE go back to that model. The kids had more fun and made friends. With the new system our kids felt like they were tested again with basics every morning because they had a new instructor.

I took 3 days of lessons and could not be happier with the experience. It had been about 13 years since I had last skied, so I was very nervous about getting back on the slopes. I started out on the magic carpets, with my pizza/wedge/snowplow form. Charlie was my instructor on Day 1. He was kind and fun, with ample patience for the group of novice skiers. Since we each had some prior experience, we graduated to the learner lifts that first day. I was also able to move on from the pizza maneuver! Charlie was so encouraging and helpful that my confidence and enjoyment of the sport grew throughout the day. On Day 2, I was with Mike and a different group of skiers. We spent most of the day on the learner lift, working on specific skills that truly helped me become a better skier. I appreciated the individual attention and getting the immediate feedback to understand how I could do something different to be stronger in the parallel position. On Day 3, I was with Freddie. I made it up to the top of the mountain to alpine ski. It was the highlight of my trip and I am so glad I got off of the learning area and could see the beauty of Whistler. I did fall and get a bit hurt. Honestly, I was really tired from three days of skiing and my legs just gave out a bit. Freddie stayed with me while waiting for ski patrol and has followed up ever since to make sure I am OK. (I am fine but will require some PT.) Each one of the instructors taught me valuable skills, was kind, fun, and pleasant to be with. I had so much fun on this trip and am SO EXCITED to go again! Thank you!

Last week, my husband and I took a Level 3 ski class at Whistler Blackcomb with the most amazing instructor, Tina. We were placed in a group with another couple and had the greatest time. Tina took us from wedging our way down easy greens to (pretty gracefully) skiing down easy blues. Worth every penny. Couldn’t recommend it more.

For what they have the confidence to charge, you’re allowed to expect absolute world class. That’s not what I got, and I could only get a meager 50% refund. Don’t get your lessons here.

OMG I just went through the most painful cancellation process of all time.If you're ordering online, it's easy and quick but make sure you are 100% going lol if not, good luck cancelling.I'd give it -5starts if I can. Thanks whistler. For what you charge, I expect you'd at least give a decent customer service experience.
