First Truck Centre Kamloops

These guys are a joke.. i went in for a commercial inspection on my truck and they treated me like garbage. They told me my rear u- joint needed replacing and when i took it out to replace it it was like brand new. They told me my truck was not sending a signal to apply the brakes in the trailer ( all They had to do was turn up the brake controller in the truck) They told me my power steering box was leaking and it wasn't. They told me my transaxle seals were leaking and they were not (just a slight weep with no drips).. i tried to explain that i had a major leak in my hydro boost which i didn't have time to clean up properly after fixing it, and when i filled up my power steering i spilled some oil down on to my steering box. They would not listen. They charged me 57 dollars to change a marker light which couldn't have taken longer than a couple minutes to change.They then told me that they would give me a 14 day permit so i could fix everything and make it to work; shortly after that they called me back to say that they wouldn't do the 14 day permit anymore.. the girl got short with me on the phone and told me that it wasn't her problem, i replied oh wow

Horrible. Went in fot a CVIP, although everything was completed and stickered they did something that's unacceptable. They couldn't get my fog lights to work (they were working, showed the tech which switch they were on) told them it's ignition powered to get the lights on. They took all my wiring that I had professionally installed with proper relays, and messed everything up, saying that there's no power to the switch.... I got billed for time on it, stated on the repair invoice that they rewired the lights to working order and billed for unnecessary parts. I showed up, flicked it on and no power to the lights. I was told they could bush fix it and get them working by running a wire from the alternator to the solenoid.....that's a bush fix. I took the truck to a guy that knows wiring and he checked power to my switches. Power to all. They did offer to fix the problem, but there's no way I'd ever go back. Especially since they left wired exposed, touching the frame, relays cut out, wires clumped up and tied back with zap straps. Absolutely unprofessional job on wiring. I'll take it somewhere else where they actually care about what they do and make it clean and tidy. So much money wasted on a amateur job. Never going back, lesson learned.

Just left the truck centre. We had a thermostat issue with our motorhome and they overnighted a part and got us in for service this morning. AMAZING SERVICE. Thankyou so much to Carson and Pat and the rest of the team!!Unfortunately the overheating issue has not resolved.

Yesterday I had problem with my truck , they did the fantastic quality job.and my truck is back to on the hwy.Thanks to Mike Lord ,Dave and all Premium Truck & Trailers team were very helpful and knowledgeable. Would highly recommendSonu Singh

This place is not RV friendly. I went in early in the summer, they did an oil change and other easy stuff for $600+, but then when it came to ordering parts for not-so easy jobs, they said they would phone, but they didn’t phone. When I stopped in to see them they had no memory or record of me being there, ‘who are you again…?’ They took my info a second time in late August, now here we are at the end of September and they have obviously forgotten about me again.I got my brakes done here a couple of years ago and they seemed like good guys at the time, but after the complete disinterest and neglect I received this summer… I can take a hint, they obviously do not want my business. I won’t bother them anymore.

I called to arrange a CVI for my small dump truck. The inspection went well as expected, I had three light bulbs out ( one in the cab I didn't even think needed to work ) and two marker lights. The lock was also sticky on the drivers side and I needed to remove a broken board from the box so I needed to fix those before it could leave. I said that I would come in immediately and quickly put the new light bulbs in and take the board off ( two bolts ). So I called my wife, who was already in town to come back to get me ( 45 min one way ) and after that we went in to get my truck. Did the repairs in literally 5 minutes and was ready to pay and leave. The lady informs me that the inspector had to leave early ( this is at 12:30 pm ) and wouldn't be coming back today. So she knew I was coming in and didn't bother to call me to tell me he wasn't finished the paperwork ( by choice ) and would be leaving. The absolutely frustrating thing is that if one of their mechanics had changed the light bulbs in his absence, he would have filled out the paperwork to have it ready to pick up BUT because I changed the bulbs, he can't take their own mechanics word for it that they verified that they worked when it left the shop.. So think about the stupidity in that, if they do the work, he believes them, if they see the work has been done ( same set of eyes ) he can't believe them and has to verify it himself. So I cancelled a trip to Vancouver today in order to pick up my work truck and a bunch of supplies and now have to go Friday instead and organize another ride to town and miss all my pick ups until next tuesday ( long weekend and all ) ALL BECAUSE I DIDN'T HIRE THEM TO INSTALL THE BULBS.. and yes, Cindy actually said if I had paid them to put new bulbs in, then I would be on my way. I can't say how disappointed I am in that attitude. I have bought thousands of dollars in parts from them ( over a thousand this week alone ) and this is how they treat a good client. I realize the shops don't want to have people fix their own stuff, but seriously, to purposely inconvenience their client solely to punish them for not hiring them to fix something so tiny is crazy and in the end the only reason he didn't complete is because HE WASN'T AT WORK as advertised; definitely not a clients fault. I made a HUGE mistake by not going to IRL down the road as I always have, but they were busy, I guess that's how good shops make their money, they don't need to nickle and dime to extract every little penny.

We sent our truck there for small repair. Truck was fixed quickly and charged us genuine labour and parts Feels like this is the first time we did not get ripped off on the road.

My partner and I lost trailer brakes over the coquihalla while towing with our horse. Tried numerous shops all either too busy or threatening to hold our trailer using their licensing accreditation to their leverage (look for my other reviews down in merrit to find out who this was). First truck/premium got us in between jobs and I told them exactly what we had done to narrow down the problem with the trailer. Within 3 hours and minimal parts, we got the call saying it was fixed. No messing around, followed our fault finding and went from there. I couldn't recommend Brad more. This is now our one and only stop through kamloops if we ever run into truck/trailer issues.

Very pleased with the service provided by Premium Truck & Trailer. I called in for a fuel filter and they had it delivered to me within 40 minutes, at the Kamloops Eastbound scale. Thanks again for the quick help!
