It's such a peaceful spot along highway 1A. I loved it, although it gets quite busy when it opens up.

Very nice and pleasant historical site. I didnt go inside as i didnt think we could but found the reading outside to be well informed and educational. Beautiful atmosphere for a wedding or even a photoshoot.

Great little historical site with information all over the site. The church has burnt down due to vandalism but will be rebuilt. The cabin still remains as well as the foundations for the NWMP outpost. Nice walk down to the river. Dogs allowed please pick up after them.

A Memorial to the indigenous children of residential schools, sad indeed.

Beautiful spot. Closed for the season but it's still worth making a stop - read about the history of the place, the significance, and enjoy the scenery. It's not very often you see 150 year old piece of history in the area.

We researched the drive from Calgary to Kananaskis and learned of this historic spot. This was one of the most spiritual- (and haunting at the same time)- spots of our trip. We were able to see and imagine from varying perspectives the way life was for all the people in this part of Alberta. Please read all the information, it will really give you the perspective to understand how significant this little spot is.Very picturesque. Love these kind of off-the-beaten-path type of things.

Very interesting attraction. The church is a reproduction and you can go inside. We also walked around and went down by the lake which was really nice as there was no one around!

Wonderfully constructed church with an incredible history. There are many signs with information here. Circle around to the back of the church and sometimes you can see inside. Photos are from the day of this review (September 22, 2022).
