Dinosaur Park Campground
Very cool campground, right next to the hoodoos with many trails. A UNESCO heritage site. Family friendly with a playground, creek and access to Red Deer River for swimming and playing. There is a concession with limited hot and cold food and supplies. Showers are 1 loonie for 2 minutes.

The campground is nice. Not the best privacy because of the environment but decent considering. Campground is pretty equipped, showers, a store, playground and fun shows. They were put of sunscreen which was saaaad for us because it was a zillion degrees but its worth it for the whole badlands deal if you want to go! Would definitely recommend. Bring sunscreen and bugspray plus ac in the trailer is a good call if you've got it.

We love Dinosaur campground. Favourite provincial park in Alberta. Once you go down the hill into the park is like you are going to a different planet. It is a stunning landscape that you want to keep coming back to. The sites are nice, some are spectacular. Awesome hikes. Tours are lots of fun

Had the opportunity to spend a night in this cool park for one night end of July on our tour to BC. Many great things about this park like the scenery, trails, cleanliness and friendly staff! If you are looking for privacy to camp this is not the park for you as the campsites are fairly close together and not at all private, however, they are spotless and set up great! $8.00 a bag for wood and showers are 1.00 for 2 minutes. Experience camping here even for one night was excellent! Definitely a great park if you are camping with kids!!

Lovely campground. Very open with neighbors, but still a great destination if you like to go for hikes. They also have very clean facilities. A little store with little odds and ends, and an ice cream shop right at the entrance when you drive in.

Absolutely beautiful campground. You can go up the Badlands for a hike. Magnificent sunset. Not much trees in the site so bring a sun shelter. I was bit windy when we went too. So make sure you peg down your tents properly. No signal either but you can go for a quick drive at the day use area if you really need it.

Canada Tour 2022 - We camped here for two nights in early July. The campsites are very nice and the scenery is amazing. The drive to Dinosaur Provincial Park from the Trans Canada takes you through a lot of farmland. My wife and kids kept asking where the canyons are and I had to tell them to be patient. You can catch glimpses of small badland areas in the fields the closer you get to the park. Once you see the entrance sign to the park it starts the wow-factor. As soon as we parked the trailer we were exploring the hills surrounding the grounds. Everyone how loves camping should try at least one weekend here. I say one weekend because if you're active, you'll cover most of the park in one full day.

Definitively 5 stars for Dinosaurs Park. But for the camping 1 star! Mosquitos are everywhere. We had about 22 bites, while build the tent, even when a great anti-mosquitos is freshly applied. For good toilets, sinks and showers ($) it will be at the principal office, about 15 minutes walking with mosquitos running.Everyone is supper close to the others. No privacy or landscapes views.Firewood (6) is 11$. Pretty cheap wood and difficult to start. Fire will not help to remove mosquitos at all. Even in the morning they are a lot present.Park is beautifull! But there is only 2 fossils. It is easy to visit the park and enjoy it in less than 1 day! There is still mosquitos on trail, but not that much as the campground!

Dinosaur campground is one of a kind! This world heritage site is truly remarkable. If you love geology, paleontology, or feeling like you’re on another planet, this is the campground for you. There are staff on site, with a little store for ice, treats and souvenirs. A small 3 km loop will lead you to multiple contained dig sites with dinosaur fossils. Endless hiking and biking trails, I highly recommend visiting this campground. During my stay I encountered a scorpion, and stumbled upon an undiscovered fossil.

Scenery: 5 starHiking: 5 starCamping spot: 4 starStaff: 5 starEmergency response: five starShower: 3starLaundry:3 starWifi: 1 starCafe: 4 starVisiting center: 5 starFamily experience: 5 starThe scenery is epic, it is like into to the Netflix TV show “west wold”. We stayed from 6/30-7/3 for 3 nights. I forgot to book one day, but luckily they still have some first come first served sites for us to choose. We experienced the hottest day in there which up to 33degree and the most windiest day there ever, our tents almost got blew off. But luckily we went in a kinda shelter in door beside the tent. The staff was like safety first, and very warm! The wifi is a pain but you can get it in the cafe and it was a bit slow having problems rendering pictures. The cafe has almost everything essential you need. The ice cream was huge and yummy, make sure to go and get some. Shower need 1 loony for 2 min, we just have to get it done fast. Laundry machine works but a bit dirty.. camping spot was in the group camping place also first come first severed place during summer time. It was much better than other camping site. Because you actually get more privacy there. We end up stayed there for all 3 days. In general, I fully recommend this place, not luxury but full of meaningful experience happened there.
