Mona did an amazing job with my lehenga! It was too tight on the waist when I tried it on Monday and I needed it altered for an event on Friday so only 4 days to fix it. I called Mona and she said she can do it and came and showed her and her confidence made me feel so much better. I just picked it up and it’s perfect. The fit is great and you can’t even tell where she opened it up to make it bigger. On top of that, the price was very reasonable (I pay for quality and this was absolutely worth it). She’s such a sweet woman and had it ready earlier by a few hours so I could pick it up. 100% recommend to anyone looking for alterations for heavy traditional outfits that you don’t trust just anyone with. Will be recommending to all my family/friends.

Good blouse, good quality hemming, but pressure sales tactics, misrepresentations of blouse designing capabilities, and poor attention to customer’s needs made us unhappy with the final results.We came to Mona to do the blouse designs for 2 kanchipuram wedding blouses – one for me, the bride, and one for my mother. We sent her photos through email to show her examples of what we wanted done on the blouses. She had difficulty opening up the email but when she saw the photos, she said she could do these designs and that we only had to come to her to finalize plans. We asked her to send us pictures of what she had, specifically pictures of trims/borders, patches/stones/beads and tassels so we can discuss design possibilities over the phone or maybe through a video call. She was 40 minutes away and we wanted to save time on driving and not take too long to have in person discussions as it’s during covid lockdown. She assured us that she “had everything” and gave us the impression that if we questioned her further over the phone, we were insulting her years of experience.She has a lot of trims and borders, but she did not show us anything that she owned. Instead, she took one trim, placed it on the blouse and asked us if we liked it. We expressed that we wanted the designs in the pictures in the email but she said those are embroidery work and she doesn’t do embroidery. This was a huge surprise to us as we were very specific about wanting these designs we sent over in the email. Although she told us over the phone she did not do embroidery, she should have been transparent that it was embroidery work in the pictures we showed her rather than mislead the customer into thinking she could do it.So this resulted in 3 hours of discussions about blouse designs that could have been avoided through a simple video call or sending pictures of what she had. After 30 minutes, she told us we were taking too much time, that “time is money” and told us 1 hour after we arrived she had another customer coming right now. There was no other customers who arrived during the time we were there. She said a few times, “ok it’s done” in a conclusive tone to get us to be satisfied with the simple blouse design. We felt very pressured to buy and to accept the simple trims she had. This is a wedding blouse, there is nothing simple about it, but it was clear she didn’t care if we liked it or not, as long as we paid and left quickly.When we told her my mom does not want a tassel at the back of the blouse, she said we needed one to ensure the blouse had stability. Then we asked if she could change the design of the back so that tassels would not be needed, but she dismissed the idea and explained her reasoning to my fiancé in Hindi so I did not know what her reason was. The tassel is $25 extra, so 2 tassels for both blouses is $50. Money was not a problem for us, (although her prices were pretty high, almost the same cost as the sarees) but she dismissed so quickly our desire not to have tassels just to make some extra money. We did not like any of the 3 tassels but were forced to choose one. She also does not have patches, jewels or stones. She had many boxes and bags of trims of various widths, but only showed us 5 trims to choose from. I felt this was just her way of doing the minimal amount of work to get the most money as her base price for blouse designing was 4 times more than the cost of her to just sew the blouse. Mona clearly had her own agenda when suggesting design options to us that were not in our best interests. We will not be coming back and we don't recommend her blouse designs.

I got my blouses stitched and altered for an occasion and I am very satisfied and happy with the fit and her work. I also requested for an early delivery to which she agreed. Would definitely recommend Mona Creations.

Wonderful experience! Mona aunty helped me out last minute and stitched the perfect blouse for me for an important family wedding event. Love her work, she also has fair prices so i will definitely be coming back!
