Dr Black & Associates Optometrists

Dr. Black is an excellent Optometrist and his Team is amazing with his clients. He gives his clients personal attention. He doesn't rush the appointment and he explains things thoroughly. I recommend him to all my friends and family.

Very unimpressed with this dr thushy maheswaran was very pushy like she had more important stuff she had to do yes I get it they have patients to see but she said my child needed glasses she keeps looking up to the ceiling says she can’t stop couldn’t even try to calm her just basically kicked us out of the room.. will be looking for a new doctor

I have been going to Dr. Black at this location since I was a child. He is awesome. So friendly, easy to talk to, & he explains things in a manner you can understand. The front desk staff has changed recently & don’t really seem to know what they’re doing but that should change once they get used to things. The selection of glasses is pretty good, but I don’t have coverage so I usually buy online. When I had coverage as a child through my parents I got glasses there & they were excellent quality.

Absolutely LOVE my new glasses! I had an amazing experience going to Dr. Black & Associates Optometrists at the Glazier Medical Centre.It all started almost 2 years ago I had a very unpleasant experience at Pearle Vision. The Optometrist incorrectly wrote down my prescription. I did not find this out until my glasses were made. When I spoke with a store associate I was told I would have to pay for another exam as well as the correction to my lenses.I spent the following months trying to have head office rectify the issue. The customer service reps on the phone were friendly enough. However, after filling out the incident report and told I would hear back I was left with unreturned phone calls and unanswered emails.This past week I couldn't wait any longer to get new glasses. I decided to stay close to home and made an appointment at Dr. Blacks office. When I arrived I was helped by Lori. She was extremely knowledgeable and understanding.My exam was performed by Dr. Black. He is very professional and friendly.After hearing about what had happened at Pearle Vision he took it upon himself to do what they should have done.Had I not prepaid, he was going to complete my exam free of charge! He also covered my lense replacement!It was such an overwhelming feeling to finally be heard.I am so grateful for all of their help!Needless to say I will definitely be returning to see the amazing people at Dr. Black & Associates!

The only redeeming quality of this place is the doctor himself. The staff are slow, rude, and seem lost. I had helped my mother choose frames and order progressive lenses, which had to be paid for up front. Unfortunately, when she had gone to pick them up, she was by herself and they had passed off the wrong frames (fitted with the correct lenses) as her now personalized prescription glasses. Seeing as she has trouble with sight, she could not verify if everything was in order and just accepted them. I went the following morning to see if anything could be done to amend the mistake and they simply brushed me off and said I'd have to buy new glasses. I'm never coming back here again. The staff that had helped her five years ago were so much nicer and overall better at their jobs. I'm taking my business elsewhere and do not recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for reading.

The female that did my exam was good, but the front desk staff were amazing. One staff in particular (can't remember her name) she is an older women, sits at the desk facing the door. Went above and beyond to help. She helped me pick frames and was super nice about helping me find a pair that suited me. Very nice amd good prices. Would definitely recommend!

Friendly staff and great selection of frames. The doctors are very personable as well as knowledgeable! The equipment is very up to date.

They don’t answer the phone. I called 6 different times and a machine was telling me that they’re busy and not taking calls right now, and other times it was just ringing. No one answers.
