Horsefly Lake Provincial Park

Small provincial park, so it feels quiet and secluded. Much more private than nearby Lac La Hache. Good boat launch and truck/trailer parking. Water-side sites have wade-in access, good for canoes, kayaks and inflatables. Standard pit toilets, kept clean while we were there. Lake was very high at the time we were there, so I can't speak to the quality of the beach.At the edge of the camping area is a trail up to a view of the lake. Can easily be done in twenty minutes, though the sign suggests longer. When we were there in early July there were lots of wildflowers in bloom.Overall, nice clean, quiet site, but not much to do if you're not on the water.

At the time did not have a boat so I never really saw the potential of this place. The campground was nice and clean at the time.

Beautiful park, a nice place to camp or only spend the they with family or friends

This is one of my favorite places in the world. The water is cold and crystal clear, and there is rarely to much boat traffic, and even that's limited to the Western end.Sometimes the boat launch gets congested, but you can make friends and enjoy the wait.

Was a great experience. Camping spots were spacious and were varying in size which made finding one adequate for your party a welcome option. Has a wood pit showers boats and kayaks for rent. Faculty operating park were welcoming and very accommodating,to the point that they brought us cook ware we had forgot to pack. So yes highly recommend this park for a great camping experience.

The camping is a little tight/open for my liking but the lake is really nice. Beautiful clear water, great for swimming and fishing. Make sure you reserve if you want a water front site, its a busy place. The care takers for the park do a really nice job supplying wood and activities for the campers including a hot shower house.Big boat friendly launch, no docks but beaching is easy for a 20ft.

Love going here. The water is so clear and nice beach for kids.

Beautiful place to chill out

There are reservable campsites through Discover Camping which are closest to the water they are also the most shaded/private. first come first serve campsites are available and were all empty except for one during my stay. There is firewood for sale and also tons of wood you can forage. The hiking trail had many bugs but was worth the view. Rest of campsite was not bad for bugs. Overall a very pleasant, family friendly, camping trip... Lots to do here.

This Lake is amazing.. crystal clear and warm. Down side. Best lake side spots are all Reservations only. Sorry but should be 50/50 with the back side so those who are not sure their itinerary have a chance to enjoy the lake front as well. Horsefly is a great area and otherwise totally recommend the visit to the area.
