Fortunate is the person who has her, or his, own business and is able to please customers through a career of 30 years or so. Mike Clemmens, owner-operator of MSC Marine, is such a person and his love of boats goes hand in hand with his love of being a marine mechanic. His business is located in the heart of southern Georgian Bay farmland, not far from Highway 26 and the Edenvale airport, close to Wasaga Beach, Collingwood and Stayner.I have taken my Bayliner model 1952 cabin-cruiser to MSC Marine for a couple of years now, ever since I was lucky enough to hear about Mike Clemmens and his business.The big thing that sold me on MSC Marine is Mike's matter-of-fact honesty when he tells me about the good, bad, ugly and beautiful of my boat Bella". Mike is a knowledgeable gentleman who knows how to go about fixing your boat. He has gone out of his way to help us many times and always with success. He has found parts that, to me have been incredibly hard to find. We have had nothing but great results from Mike and I will be using him in the future without a doubt. On another note Mike will always inform you how to approach a situation. We have been extremely happy with all the jobs he has done on our boat. Mike is knowledgeable, fair, and friendly. He has completed major engine repairs and lower unit repairs at much greater value than the pricing I received from other marinas. Being able to trust someone with your investment is huge and the reason that I will always use Mike for service and repair.

I have been a customer of Mike’s for several years now. He does a great job on the winterizing of my boat and has given me great advice on the service needed on my engine. He never over sells me and his prices have always been fair.There has been a couple of times during Covid that my boat has sat for more than 1.5 yrs. It is a testament to Mike’s work when I have the full confidence the boat will turn over on first try in the water…and it has!Mike is a top notch guy to deal with. Always fair in price and delivers on time. I would highly recommend him for your boat winterizing and engine maintenance.

EDIT: Instead of spending money and time on personal and professional development, this person hired a law firm to send me a threatening letter to remove my review. If you have similar experience or have been victim of this business please contact me.Gave him a water pump to replace, 4 bolts to take it out and put in, not more than an hour of work. He took it a part and charger 6 hours and even charged for new part on OEM pump.Changed two times engine oil and filter last year and other mechanic working on last week asked me why I haven't changed oil filter for 3 years. Filter was dated 2019.Stay a way from this person if you care about your boat!

Mike at MSC Marine is very knowledgeable, trustworthy and reliable. His work is thorough and proper. He doesn’t cut corners or shortchange either. I highly recommend MSC Marine!

Mike is awesome. Takes the time to accurately diagnose and fix the boat. Has kept mine running in top form for the last 5 years. Mike definitely has my trust as a mechanic. Always able to get my boat in and out of the shop fast. Great mechanic.

I used MSC Marine to inspect and winterize my new boat. Not only was my boat a last minute purchase of the season but time being an issue for freezing. I also know very little about what I should be looking for when looking into boats other than the basics. Thankfully enough I have received some information as to what could happen if certain things have not been changed over time. After checking with the previous owner in fact these parts have never been changed and I cant thank MSC Marine enough for asking these important questions. Not only for our safety as customers but also to help keep our waters clear of dead boats and or boats in tow.. I will continue to use MSC marine from now on. I have been going to Mike for the last 3-4 years and have been very pleased with his service. I have an older boat (1988) and it requires special attention due to its age. Mike has been very helpful with winterizing and doing annual maintenance. He also did the bellows one year for me. Overall, he is very knowledgeable and I have never had an issue with by boat on the water when following his advice and recommendations. His prices are also fair.
