Magic Pencils Learning Centre

Beware: They want your money, but not your children.They have lost our possessions, tried to double bill us, made my child take unreasonable amounts of time off, against their own policies. And will lie to you about, never apologize and call you condescending while they try to treat you like a child. Communication skills are extremely poor, and this is one of the least professional businesses i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

It’s funny how people you never met will lie about you , that being said I have worked at Magic Pencels for 9 years and never once gave information without a parents authorization. This learning centre is one of the best facilities for children in Durham and the staff are amazing we love and care about everyone in our care .

This daycare is great and the staff are incredible. Thank you for being so accommodating and understanding.

I had both my children in magic pencils on different occasions.From newborn to 18 months I didn't like to facility. I found the baby's room to be very cramped and dark. However, at the time I only kept my son there for a few weeks.However... as they go older and moved into the toddler / preschool rooms I found it to be very nice. Great friendly staff... nice meals .... and plenty of outdoor playtime and free play time. they did crafts and made friends and I found my kids were always excited to go to daycare every day.Would definitely recommend to anyone whos children are ages 18months to 4 years.

Magic pencils has been one of the greatest things that has happened to our family. My toddler son started off with a pretty negative first daycare experience so we switched to Magic Pencils and it was the best decision we could have made. My son is so happy going to daycare every morning and so happy when I pick him up each day. The change in him is so apparent and he has learned so much from his wonderful teachers. I have great peace of mind going into work every day, knowing that he is in safe and loving hands. I cannot thank the staff here enough for everything they have done and continue to do for the kids! They truly go above and beyond and it is clear how much they genuinely care. I would happily recommend this centre to any parent who is looking for care!

My kids have been attending magic Pencils for about 3yrs now, they have practically gone through every teacher in there, runners inclusive, I have had a very good relationship with their carers/teachers, Ms Theresa inclusive. They are also very careful and followed every covid protocol!!!! Would definitely continue to recommend them to evey parent that needs a daycare

We absolutely love Magic Pencils.The way they treat our daughter is incredible, not to mention the help and guidance we have received along the way.Would not hesitate in recommending to anyone.We are so lucky we get to send our girl there!!!!!!

The staff in the rooms are fantastic, the actual ECE's and RECEs. The management is sub-par however. They gave away our spots while I was scrambling to make subsidy and a job that didn't want to adjust my schedule work.My kids loved it there, and loved their teachers.The baby room in particular was fantastic, my son was in care there from 3 months old and he was always happy and well cared for.
