Hornby Island Bakery & Pizzeria

Amazing pizza, scones, brownies and so much more! The owner John is so friendly and takes pride in making everything from scratch and uses organic fresh ingredients. A must try if you’re on hornby island.

I was only on Hornby for two days and stopped by to get a pizza. Little did I know the quality of the pizza. The dough and sauce was amazing. The owner also came by while I was waiting for the pizza and he oozed charisma and was very kind. The interaction I had with John made my little get away just a little more special, and of course great pizza!

Delicious!! We met Jon in the morning while he was making bagels , had a lovely chat and he gave us a fresh New York style bagel hot from the oven, it was the best bagel ever! Really a great spot to eat on Hornby, were excited to go back and try again. We had a large Hawaiian half Margherita . Friendly staff. Wish I took a picture it looked so good but we just ate it up too fast

If I could give more than 5 stars to this restaurant, I would! We caught a late ferry over to Hornby Island and when we arrived everything was shut down. Even our last resort gas station hot dogs were closed. Luckily we stumbled on this place right across the road from the gas bar. They originally said they were not taking anymore orders, but made an exception for us! This was huge as we had a toddler with us who was getting quite hangry. It was very much appreciated! The pizza was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly! They have a lovely picnic area with jazz music echoing while you wait. Will be back every time I come back to Hornby and I can’t recommend this place enough! Great work everyone!!!
