I was looking for a mechanic in my area and came across Genesis. I initially chose Genesis as it was very close to home and they had very good reviews. However, I was so impressed with Alberto and his team that after the first appointment, I have been servicing my car here for over a year now.I have found them to be very trustworthy, friendly and reasonably priced. They always talk through each repair and are extremely professional. I would highly reccomend Genesis Auto Repair to anyone looking for a reliable mechanic and I will continue to bring my car here!

My regular mechanic (who does not do AC) recommended Alberto. He was friendly, accommodating, and he nailed it! My AC works again!Pricing was fair, and the other staff were personable and warm.

This is a family operated business which I have known and trusted since 2015. I have also known the family on a personal level, and they are great down to earth" people.Jorge and his team are very knowledgeable mechanics who actually care about their clients. Booked my car for rear and front brakepad replacement. All the guys in the shop are all very nice. The owner is very knowledgeable and considerate for giving me discount. He explained clearly status of brake rotor. The front desk is also very nice and accommodative. I do recommend this shop for your auto repair.

It was comforting that for my oil change the inspection list was presented up front and I knew what to expect. He dealt with everything else that I brought up, as well. Alberto is crazy fast, and I got my vehicle back on the day it was promised even though he found a little more that needed fixing. No unexpected charges or repairs. Excellent! Thank you!

Really disappointed after reading all these high reviews. I'm actually hurt because I feel like I got completely scammed and manipulated. Makes me wonder if they messed around with my car even more. If I paid you a lot of money to fix something, it should be fixed! Complete WASTE of money and time. All my issues with the engine light, secondary air pump, and my bulb lights came back after a few months. Even after going back in for warranty on the air pump , Alberto said it was a different issue than the first time I went in and that my warranty was already used when he spent 4 hrs diagnosing what was wrong. Why couldn't he have found that out the FIRST TIME. He said he wouldn't even know a 100% what the REAL cause is until he had more labor time to look at it. Basically going to charge me so much just for labor. I know it doesn't take that long. Also, when I made an appointment for opening time, I waited 2 freaking hours because nobody was there yet. Alberto called me back and said the person opening up the shop had issues. I genuinely think he forgot or just didn't care. Here are pictures to show what I went in for so they can't say I wasn't a customer. You can see I paid over $2000 and in the end, still the same issues, maybe worse. I drive very calmly and maintain it very well so I know it wasn't anything to do with my driving. I went to BCAA in South Surrey to get my lights changed because Alberto couldn't even fix those. Please please do not waste your time with Genesis. I let my friends and family know to avoid this place. I'm not sure if Alberto was prejudiced and discriminating but go somewhere that is more accountable and where you won't get taken advantage of!

I really highly recommend people to get repairs done here the people at this shop are amazing! They gave me a very detailed overview on what my car needs to be repaired and what to expect on how much I would spend. They guided me through the whole process and I asked many questions which they answered. They're very knowledgeable about what they do. From my previous experiences with mechanics before who worked on my car and never solved the issues. The people at Genesis Auto Repair Shop was able to diagnose what was wrong with my car and gave me suggestions on what I should fix first to get my car to finally start. They're trustworthy and the customer service was beyond my expectations. They did their due diligence to update me each time on what's happening and always asked before doing any work. I have nothing but good things to say and I'm glad I have finally found a mechanic shop I trust and will go to from now on. I'm from Vancouver and don't mind the commute to Surrey since these guys know what they're doing ☺️

I am glad most people have good experience with them but It’s funny how this company only have 5 star reviews, they probably take down all the negative review somehow…. I have to say my experience was not good. From my experience, the owner was not a trust worthy person, he will agreed on something the first day and change it the next day. The owner doesn’t keep his word and have hidden agenda. I would not trust someone to fix my car if he has a no integrity.

It can be intimidating finding a new mechanic, however I tried my luck with Genesis Auto because of the healthy reviews I read, and they indeed stayed true and accurate! They talked me through the repair and the mechanic even took time to show me the actual issues with my car. The entire experience was professional. Parts and labour prices are very fair and the team was very pleasant to interact with. I will be a returning customer!

This place is a gem! You can feel the warmth in this family-run small business! Reasonable prices and they are willing to work with you depending on your needs. They make sure to explain in detail the diagnosis and what has been done with your vehicle. Love the integrity and honesty this shop runs with!
