Little Munchkin Daycare

Our child attended only for a short time at the Shaughnessy location of Little Munchkin, but we had a good experience.The program coordinator was very accommodating in finding us the right group and with any questions after our enrollment. The educators were all caring and made the entry period easy for our child.A huge plus of the location is the big, shady garden for the kids to play in.

We found Little Munchkins in a time of desperate need and Mohammed was so helpful. Our daughter loved her time there and made great friends. It is a reliable, professional place and we absolutely loved the Brightwheel app to let us know how daughter was doing throughout the day. They had a great activity plan and got outside to play in the garden nearly every day and they learned new songs, dances and arts. Emily and Julie were so lovely in the upstairs, we really appreciated the car they gave our daughter.The only downsides are their closures and the cost. They close for 6 business days after Christmas (this year it was Monday 4th - Monday 11th) and during the summer (this year it was Tuesday 3rd - Tuesday 10th), and I see that they have now introduced 2 PD days during the year. This was very stressful for us as we have no other supports, and it was also painful to pay for a full month when you were out of daycare for a week. We had to pay someone else to look after her during these times so it made for a very expensive month. Which is my last point, the increase each year makes a huge difference (over $100 increase for us). While it is an amazing service, this is one of the most expensive places that we found.Our daughter really enjoyed being here, thank you to all the hard working and caring staff!

My son was at Little Munchkins from 1 year old to almost 3. It was a smooth transition and the teachers were always very patient, loving and caring. Special koodos and love to Emily, Soo, Giovanna, and the 2 Julies, that were closest to Matias. The daily report with photos through the app was amazing, and warmed our hearts everyday to see how he was doing at daycare. Thank you for everything!

Little Munchkin is an excellent daycare. My son has been attending for over two years and he loves it! The care providers are so genuine and you can tell they really care about the children's wellbeing and development. It is very well run and the house/yard has a nice homey charm to it. I highly recommend!

My daughter has been with Little Munchkin since she was 1 and is now graduating out.She had a great time learning and playing with kids her age. We will miss her wonderful and caring teachers as well.Hoping to see them again when it's time for our second daughter to start daycare.

We feel extremely fortunate to have had our son in the Little Munchkin program. He started when he was around 10 months old, and continued until he is over 3 years old. The staff have given our son the utmost excellent care.The Shaughnessy location was very convenient for us, and our son loved the large backyard and play space.He loved his teachers at both Shaughnessy and Holland Street and always came back from his daycare in a good mood and happy to have spent the day there.I would highly recommend both the Shaughnessy and Holland Street programs to any future parents, as well as friends of ours, if they are lucky enough to get a spot.We found that the prices that were charged were on-par with other daycares in the area and that was not an issue for us.We also found both the admin staff and the daycare teachers to be very kind and easy to work with.The Holland Street location and the staff there have been wonderful for our son as well. We wish there were a bit more outdoor space to play, but given the property that they are working with it is totally understandable.Teacher Norma has been so very caring for our son and he looks forward to going to daycare every day.
