Dinesty Dumpling House
My review is towards the service which my mother had received today Saturday July 8th, 2023 approximately 1:50pm. We were a party of 3 having lunch. We have been a customer of DINESTY since their first location opened. For this particular location we have been here handful of times. Their potstickers, fluffy pancakes which they no longer have was so delicious and of course they’re XLB.Unfortunately it had to come down to a google review on how IMPATIENT and RUDE this one waitress provided towards my mothers simple question regarding to a bubble tea order. So this is how it went down. My mother politely got a waitress’s attention. My mother spoke English to the waitress because she does not speak Mandarin. It was a few simple questions regarding to a “brown sugar milk tea.” At this time the restaurant wasn’t full house or extremely busy at all. Handful of empty tables. My mothers question was she wants 30% less sweet, no pearls and substitute with red bean etc. For the people that don’t know any “brown sugar milk tea” from Yi Fang tea shops you can’t change or substitute. You must drink it the way it is. Probably really bubble tea lovers will know that but WE didn’t know and that’s why WE ASK THE WAITRESS QUESTIONS.The waitress replies was No! No you can’t! No you can’t. So we were a little confused because waitress never EXPLAINED why can’t we have less sweet or replace pearls with other fillings etc. While this was going on the waitress had this huge frowning sad cocky look on her face and rolled her eyes on my mother each time she asked a simple question. Very impatient and rude. Then my mother said one second please. That’s when the waitress WALKED AWAY. We’re like ah excuse me we’re looking at the menu and need your help. At this point another waitress was at our table taking over. Not sure who was our main waitress but that didn’t matter. My mother told the second waitress that we are paying customers and had a few simple questions. The first waitress didn’t have to be rude and cocky to us cause we did nothing wrong to her. Im sorry you are the server so you know the answers, my mother doesn’t and that’s why we ask.Yi Fang partner up with DINESTY at this location so when you order drinks while dine in you receive 20% off otherwise we’ll never order bubble tea in a dumpling restaurant. The first waitress was in a rush to clear up a big table full of dirty dishes. But there wasn’t anyone waiting for a big table or anyone in line waiting period so we don’t know why she was such in a rush. When we finished and got the bill the waitress was still around. In the photos is the impatient, rude and sad face waitress plus our bill. We even tipped 15% after that bad experience because I know Chinese restaurants the tip is pool in and shared with all staff. We didn’t want to affect her other colleagues tip share cause we could’ve easily not tip or tip 5-10% just to let the restaurant and staff know that our waitress didn’t provide us with standard basic simple service and we were not happy. The owner should definitely speak to all staff on how to handle different situations while serving customers rather than being rude, impatient and just walk off on customers while they’re speaking and asking questions. Here are some photos. The bill shows “Lily” but she was not the rude waitress. The ride and impatient waitress is the one cleaning up the dishes at the table.Leave your sadness or frustration at home. When you come to work have some positive energy or smile. If you can at least force that fake smile if you have to because that’s part of customer service and hospitality industry. Specially when you are working on receiving gratuity.

Nothing special. Ample seating good parking. If you like dumplings try this place out, it is a franchise. They sell pre-cooked dumplings.

I haven't dined at this location since COVID, so it has been a long while. The food was decently tasty. We ordered the regular soup dumpling, and added the kimchi soup dumpling after finishing the first round. It was good that we ate the regular soup dumpling first, as the kimchi ones were, in my opinion, more delicious. The acidity of the kimchi balanced out the pork filling, making the soup dumplings less heavy. We tried the eggplant dish. It was quite enjoyable as well. The chestnut chicken was delicious. They ran out of duck, so we ordered the braised pork belly. It was just ok. They were a bit short staffed, but the staff tried their best to meet every request. They also had a robot delivering drinks if you ordered a 20% off bubble tea from Yifang fruit tea next door. I like the spaciousness of this restaurant, which makes it a less stressful dining experience.

The photos were taken after I started eating, they looked more appetizing when they were first served. We went there on Wednesday and saw the daily special: free pot stickers with beef noodles, so we ordered that. We also ordered pineapples shrimps. The beef noodles are really good, with thick beef shank slices are that so tender and melting in your mouth. The pineapple shrimps are tasty but too oily. They could have blotted the oil after deep frying the shrimps. The service was efficient and the atmosphere is welcoming. The restaurant is clean and well organized. You could also get 20% off for ordering bubble teas next door if you dine at dinesty dumpling house.

the potstickers were really good but that’s about it. we ordered the noodles with meat sauce and stir fried rice cake but both had no flavour. my friends and I had to add sauces from our other dishes just so we could taste something while eating. we asked for chilli oil to help add some flavour and they gave us a dish with literally just oil in it... anyways the xiao long bao was decent but nothing special. the interior design was nice. expect long lines on weekends!

I came here for dinner recently. I quite enjoyed the restaurant's decor and the service was average. In terms of food, I tried the Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings, Steamed Shrimp, Scallop & Pork Soup Dumplings, Steamed Screw-Buns / Fried Screw - Buns, Cold Jelly Fish on Cucumber, Stir Fried Shrimps, Scallops, & Squid, and Simmer Chicken with Basil in Triple Sauce. Both steam dumplings (XLB) had really good thin skin and decent soup. Though they tasted fairly similar to one another - both were very pork heavy. The-buns were decent as they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The jelly fish was quite refreshing with cucumber but the portion was small. The stir fry was also decent. What stood out the most was the Simmer Chicken with Basil in Triple Sauce. The chicken was nicely cooked and the sauce feels like it would complement anything and everything.
