I have been an advocate for this place long as I can remember. No matter what anyone said I also drove traffic there. But on Saturday April 27, 2023 I had one of the worse experiences. I ordered the egusi with all the meats only to have the biggest chunks of one of the nastiest meats with no chicken in site, one small piece of beef. Whichever chef made the food that day, especially the egusi please please don’t put whatever organ you put in there. I don’t mind heart, liver or kidney but this type of was horrifying. I kid you not I feel that it was a pig organ not even beef. I don’t mind paying even $40 for a dish but the quality is more important to me. I also ordered the pepper soup and the amount was too little for $20 and very grainy. I hope someone takes this seriously because I would hate to have my people who visit Vancouver to elsewhere and your rating decrease from more people due to the lack of quality.

5 stars for the exceptional service. Our server gave us great recommendations and explained dishes thoroughly. Taste was great. Prices were very fair. Only took off a star because the chicken seemed to be old. Overall, be sure to support this local business!

This was a complete disappointment. The food was subpar and not aligned with what was on the menu. The soups didn’t taste nice and were in ridiculously small portions. After complaining to the manager, she was very rude and instead of apologizing or trying to make things better she was sounded aggressive and told us if we weren’t satisfied we should cancel the order. We are definitely not coming back here

Food was yummy. Had jollof rice with beef and plantain, great hot sauce. Egusi soup with pounded yam was also good. It’s a little expensive but I really enjoyed it, place was clean and staff were nice. It’s an actual sit-down restaurant, unlike Taste of Africa nearby, which is a take-out joint.

Service was good, staff were friendly. However when it comes to the food it's a different story...Chicken was bland, dry and did not taste fresh. Pepper soup was coated in a layer of fat, cuts of meat were not great and despite the name it also wasn't spicy.I specifically asked for spicy ogbono soup and it definitely wasn't.For the price this really wasn't worth it. Especially after an hour's drive to get here.

Highly recommend the Palm Drink which is reminiscent in taste of a fusion between a cider and rice wine for flavor profile. I also had the fried tilapia with Jaloff rice and coleslaw. It was all good and fun to eat. It's neat because they serve Nigerian foods that are not easily found elsewhere in Canada and it's fun to try foods you've never had or seen before.

We've been eating at Alebi ever since we moved to Surrey and it's fantastic. My partner is Nigerian and I am Canadian and I've always loved good, authentic Nigerian food since she introduced it to me. After moving from Toronto, it was harder to find Nigerian food but we stumbled across Alebi and instantly were hooked.Today I had Jollof rice and Chicken, with plantain, yam fries and fried gizzard. It was outstanding! My partner had okra and pounded yam and loved it as well! Whether you are Nigerian and looking for a taste of home, or from any other culture but want to try something new that you won't regret, Alebi is the way to go!Thanks to Alebi and everyone who works there. You're always so helpful and polite, the food and service is amazing!

Egusi and poundo Yam tasted excellent, but the Egusi portion is incredibly small with a high price tagJoloff Rice was also too pricey for what you’re receiving, it’s spiced rice and two small chunks of meat. it needed more of a kick I think.Overall, Nigerian food is delicious and it’s quite rare
