Fun park with events like the annual Miner's Heritage Picnic. Includes large grass field, playground, water park, several mature trees, drinking water fountain, and m & f washrooms with flushing toilets.

A favorite park I love bringing my 2 grandchildren any time of the year. The waterpark is a great Summer stop for the little ones but all ages love it such as I. The field is smaller than others but is great for a fun game of ball or soccer. I practiced ball with my team years ago and my children liked the park. The park has restrooms and big enough that you can change your clothes if you used the waterpark. I enjoy watching the children have so much fun in the playground. I like the gravel pit as you actually get to maneuver the gravel digger.

It's hot today and the lush green grass and fully mature trees were very welcome. As touring cyclists the public toilets were appreciated on the southern approach to Downtown Nanaimo. The kids really enjoyed the spray park. A simple neighborhood park that works well for everyone. And if you get a chance due the walking tour of the Southend neighbourhood. It starts here with a sign and map. Learning about Nanaimo's coal mining heritage.

Was here in May so didn't get to see the waterpark part in action, the little guy (3 year old) still really enjoyed himself there.

Great park! It has a soccer field, playgrounds for big and little kids and a splash park. Public washrooms are open as well. It has a handful of picnic tables. The park is never busy either. The downsides are the many homeless people in the area. I've been at the park and had to call the police to break up a fight. Also some have no concept of personal space and will just come up to your picnic table and try and sit with you .

Good waterpark, great playground, nice soccer pitch. Basketball court is over grown. Two junkies sleeping it off in the shade at 10am.

This waterpark in Nanaimo is a very big spacious, and close to old city quarters of Nanaimo. The kids really seem to enjoy it and with heat on the increase as of recent times, one can leave some of that heat behind by stopping here to cool off and maybe pop into the McDonald's restaurant or Dairy Queen which are I. Immediate area. Enjoy and play safe this summer.
