Damaged furniture. Up rated the weight. Avoid.

Damage furniture refusal to pay for their mistake, don't use them. Why deductible when it's your failure to move my furniture when I paid you to move it with your white glove service.

We used this company to transport our furniture from Florida to Collingwood and it was a complete disaster, despite all of the assurances from AMS that they were the best company for the job!Firstly, on the day of the move they ran over the allocated elevator time at our condo due to their staff arriving 2.5hrs late (a time that AMS had requested to arrive). Our condo tried to charge us an additional $250 for extra elevator time, AMS refused to pay this but luckily I managed to talk the condo management in to not charging me.AMS then rushed to complete the move out and damaged nearly all of our furniture in the process. Despite assurances that they take great care with property and that everything would be safely wrapped, their staff arrived without enough wrapping blankets. I explicitly said to their staff on numerous occasions that I didn’t want our new white sofa leaving the apartment without it being wrapped, but when I was then trying to deal with the building management to prevent them charging us for the additional elevator time, AMS staff took the sofa to the truck unprotected.When I realized what was happening, I went down to the truck and caught them dragging our $5000, 8 month old white sofa across the floor of their rental truck unprotected. At this point I tried to call the AMS office numerous times but there was no response. I called dispatch and informed them of what was happening and they seemed as shocked as I was about the situation and said they would speak to the team.. but by that point it was too late.As expected, on arrival in Toronto all of the furniture was incredibly dirty and / or damaged:Sofa: our sofa was covered in black dirt, hand prints, damaged fabric. In addition, one part of the sectional was a completely different color to the other. It looked as if it had sustained water damageMattress: The mattress arrived covered in dirt and again appears to have significant dirty water damage on one sideBook Shelf: The book shelf has had one complete shelf torn off and another one partially damaged.Box Spring: The box spring arrived covered in dirt and stainedHeadboard: the headboard was covered in dirty finger prints and has damage to one leg and the trimChair: one of our chairs arrived with dirty finger prints over one sideLamps: three of our lights arrived with damage to the shades. The delivery person said that they should have been boxed. They were attached to the lamps when they were collected and it was not mentioned that they needed to be boxed which we would have done there and then with our other boxed items. Instead, AMS staff removed the shades at some point after collection and damaged them in the process or during shipping.All of our furniture was less than 8 months old and we have receipts for all of the purchases. We submitted a damage claim for $5200 to AMS and after chasing and chasing for 6 months they finally mailed us a check for $19.Needless to say, we will be taking legal action now. Please do your homework before using this company.

Thank you for charging me more and the full amount before the move. Shipment was late and broken furniture with no responsibility taken. Buyer beware.

I used their services 2 years ago. I had to move back to the original place. I would hire them again. Good experience, not perfect, but are we? I try to look at the positive side and over all I am satisfied. I try to look for the good things people have and that was exactly what I received in response from them. They even helped us to assemble the beds.

Nothing but a headache using this company to deliver my car from newfoundland to North vancouver, BC, I was told three weeks at the latest and now it's been almost a month and I still don't have my car delivered yet...they are very rude and have no remorse when their service directly impacts me for work...I have had to cancel multiple appointments for inspections because they promise me they will deliver the car on a certain day and then they don't even bother calling me to let me know they will be late delivering the car... I will not use this company again for any of my shipping needs!!!

Broken things- be careful to use its service. The delivery men broke my things while putting in the house. Claims department is suspicious, always say: Our records shows your claim was forwarded via Canada Post and has not yet been returned." Never use its service"

We booked our move with Bruce at Canadian Continental Movers and Doug from AMS Transportation arrived to pack us up in Edmonton. Doug was friendly and helpful.We underestimated our load weight. Hindsight, we should've been more realistic so they could allocate the required manpower and time. Lesson learned.They had the lowest per lbs weight charge when moving and a flat rate charge for vehicle shipping.

DO NOT USE!!!!! Have moved across the country a number of times now. This was by far the worst experience. I had more cost in damages then the move itself. (Thousands $$$$) They also lost an expensive arm chair for a month only to be returned with paint and blood on it.They basically washed their hands of the whole thing agreeing to $242 for damages less a $300 deductible not once mentioned. Out of money, broken valuables, loss of sleep!!! WORST service!

Disappointing and unprofessional! Upon delivery of my stuff, the driver refused to assemble the furniture although they were the ones who took it apart. I was told that if they took the furniture part, they are responsible for putting it together upon delivery. The driver upon delivery started making comments that my furniture was from IKEA and he would not put it together - upon telling him that the furniture was from Leons and Brick, he said he did not have tools to assemble my furniture.... very disappointingUpon calling the company, they acknowledged that they were responsible for assembling furniture and would call me back to address my concern. Unfortunately, I have not heard back from them and none of my calls have been returned.
