I wanted to get my unicorn hair I'd been dreaming of for years, and finally had the funds to pull it off so I went looking for a local stylist. Myles seemed like the best fit for me, I sent an email late at night and didn't expect to hear back for at least a day or two, but they responded right away. There had been a cancellation and they could get me in the next day. Incredible.The salon has a nice atmosphere, the employees are very kind and accommodating, and I left last night with the exact hair I was dreaming of. I've found my new stylist, and I cannot recommend this salon more. Licensed, properly trained, and excellent at what they do.

Myles is a godsend!! I have been wanting a mullet for years & no where in Nanaimo could pull it off, and Myles not only did it (fabulously), but they educated me on care & styling as well! Bonus points for great conversation and fair price. I seriously recommend this place to anyone who wants edgy hair or creative colour. 10/10!!!

I visited Port Place Hair Spa today for a massage, facial and pedicure with Desiree. I felt welcome the moment I walked in, a feeling not experienced in my previous location, and it only got better from there. The massage was incredibly relaxing, the hot stones are just amazing! Combine that with the skilled hands of this lady, and you will just melt! The facial was wonderful, there is nothing this lady cannot do! I highly recommend Port Place Hair Spa, and ask for Desiree...I followed her from her previous location!

Absolutely love Myles and his amazing work! He gave me THE pick me up I needed after having a hard time with my postpartum hair breaking and falling off. Thank-you SO much for making me feel like a million bucks! I’ll be back!!!

Took my daughter for grad photos her hair needed help. Very hard to get my teenager to be comfortable in public . Miles was great. Informative. Seemed to adjust to our personality quickly which made an hour and half go easily. Spent more then I can afford however we will be back because of him. I felt considering covid staffing issues they handled all the customers well while I was in there. Happy to support this local business again!

Myles fixed my hair. It was butchered at another salon. It was super frizzy and splitbecause I hadn't been to a salon in 3 years as I was trying to grow it out. It is now even, smooth and stylish. His experience shines through in the work he does and the care he gives.

Fabulous haircut! Myles knew exactly what would work with my hair and did an amazing job in record time. They have great covid protocols in place and the environment is very calming and low-anxiety. Wonderful experience and will for sure return
