Fantastic, puffy and bouncy Japanese cheesecakes, I can’t recommend them enough. I loved their matcha and plain flavors but they have a bunch of variety to try. Loved their soy sesame cake in a box too! I love that their desserts weren’t overly sweet and you can actually taste the flavors and the delicate fluff of the cake without being overpowered by the sweetness. They have a bunch of other bakery items that we didn’t get to try but based on the cheesecake, I assume they will be good too. They take debit or cash or p2p transfer so be prepared to figure it out if you don’t have those or are visiting from outside Canada. They will take credit through square but you gotta push them because they have the app installed but maybe don’t use that too frequently. Overall highly recommended for Japanese cheesecakes in Ottawa.

Japanese pastries are incredibly good, as much as the french bakeries are. This is a great sample of a real Japanese goodies, been in Japan I can say that they are the real thing. The place is small and cozy. Highly recommend.

Best cake in town. Everything they have is delicious and very unique. The price point is a bit high compare to other bakeries. Would get cake here for special occasions.

Do yourself a favor and go try a Japanese Cream Cheese Bun right now! It's the best thing in Ottawa!Fresh and simply divine.Everything was freshly made and quite tasty but the cream cheese bun is the star of the show.Loved the friendly and informed service and the general unpretentious decor.Love this bakery!!

Japanese Cream Cheese Bun was the fluffiest Cream Cheese Bun ever, the Bun itself was soft, and the Cream Cheese was even softer, and Cheesy!!

Go here. Everything is great.But there’s a chance they’ve made cream puffs today. It’s only on special occasions, but maybe that’s today? Frankly it’s worth the risk. I cannot stop thinking about the cream puff. I had it last weekend and it haunts me still. Next time I’ll take a picture to remember it all the better.Be still, my cream puff.

The service is really good and you can tell a lot of care went into the baked goods. The lemon tart I had was a bit too eggy tasting to me and had too much powdered sugar, but it had a good crust. It’s all up to personal taste. The space itself is very welcoming - cozy and clean. Some of the items seem overpriced for what they are. I really enjoyed the matcha pastry with vanilla ganache! Would definitely come again ☺️

UPDATE: Nov 1, 2017 - Third time visiting this place and it does not fail to impress. Went in for some hot chocolate and the infamous cream cheese bun to warm up from the cold wind. The bun was fresh as it was from a batch that was just made and the hot chocolate was okay. Not amazing like the the one down at the lindt store in the Rideau Center but not bad by any means.The lady working there was very sweet and made my order quickly. Didn't stay long enough to study this time but saw her walk over and give the wifi password to a girl on her laptop. Place is a little small but very cozy. 5/5 once again!-------------------------------------------Sept, 2017 - Went it early afternoon a few days ago after hearing about their cream cheese buns and was pleasantly surprised! The woman working the bakery was very nice and welcoming. I ended up getting a slice of their popular cream cheese bun, pear tart and lemon cream cheese square.The bun was amazing - what tasted like a fluffy milk bread with layers of sweet cream cheese filling. It was a nice size and went perfectly with my cup of coffee.The square was very good as well - it was more like a thick, rich buttery shortbread with a layer of baked cream cheese. It has a nice faint lemon taste which made the flavours seem more fresh, if that makes sense.The tart was delicious and probably the least sweet of the 3 - maybe because the previous 2 were so sweet and I had this last. The pie shell was sort of like a buttery shortbread as well with an almost eggy filling and a slice of pear in the center.All in all, I will definitely be back to try some of their other treats. This location has a bunch of tables in there as well (about 4 or 5 if i remember correctly) if you prefer to sit in.

Excellent customer service with beautiful pastries and tarts. Excellent attention to detail and clearly they have skill and finesse. It smells absolutely fabulous and it's very difficult to limit yourself to just one or two items. I was surprised to see the selection of bread and savories. They're mini tarts are absolutely exquisite. #localguide

WOW--fabulous!! Wonderful selection of freshly baked pastries using high quality ingredients. Also feature custom cakes for special occasions. One of the best bakeries in my experience. Highly recommended.
