Failing plumbing system in the Lord Mountbatten building. There have been leaks on every floor, and the result is holes made and patched in every hallway, except the basements.The lowest level fills in places with an inch of water during a very heavy rain. That means that some storage lockers get a puddle of water, and the contents may get wet. The storage rooms are in bad condition. In one case. a hunk of concrete fell off the ceiling, and the superintendent didn't seem to care.One of the bad things was getting a brand new stove that was terrible to use because the elements and oven cycled onto cooling a lot. Temperature did not stay high enough. Hard to boil water!!

Right by the beach, Tim Hortons, McDonald's, and a grocery store, the location is great. Short walk from Carleton down the beautiful canal, or a direct bus. If I ever had any problems here they were fixed quickly! I have a large master bedroom and a walk in closet, I love it here! The apartment is what you make it, mines lovely and I get compliments on it often

Lived here for 5 years and had no real problems. They were quick in fixing any plumbing or technical issues we had in our apartment and were always kind and respectful at the front desk. The garage was well maintained and had no issues getting in or out of the building. Water pressure is also fantastic. Only issue we had was being so highly up in the building pigeons took over the balcony which made it only really usable for storage.

I dont live here but i can condidently say the service from Jhada is truly second to NONE! Truly good experience speaking with her. Always goes out of her way to help. Thanks again!

I’m not sure why there’s some outliers saying that the building is so terrible. This is my first apartment I’ve ever lived in and the staff and tenants are all very nice. Jhada was incredibly helpful finding me the right apartment for the right price. Everything is included in the rent and in todays economy, you’re not gonna find your own space any cheaper. Sauna and pool on the top floor finally open!! As per previous reviews, building can get a little bit cold in the winter but a space heater does do wonders. For those who can’t find underground parking, kinda bizzare considering how many spots are open down there but maybe it differs based on your building. Overall I genuinely really enjoy living here

I have lived here since 2015. There are a few problems, but what can you expect in a 50 year old building. The apartment was cold in the winter, so the company gave me a space heater. They have since fixed the boiler system, so heat is no long a problem.If the front office staff is rude to you, then probably you've been rude to them. I have no problem with the staff, they have always been professional and curtious to me. They ask about my health, since I did haved a few issues when I first moved in.The only real complaint I have is the people who clean the apartments for new tenants aren't very good. And the carpets are old and really should be replaced. Preferrably with plank flooring.

I really loved living here. The area itself is gorgeous and the apartment I had was very spacious for a bachelor and bright. I would recommend viewing in person because I applied during lockdown so only viewed pictures, and didn’t end up having a balcony though it was in the photos I received so that was a bit disappointing. The apartment does get cold, but a mini heater helps a lot. The staff were mostly very nice to me, everything was working was working well all the time. I lived here for 13 months but moved to be closer to work, but I still miss living here regularly.

office staff suck. (ALWAYS rude and nasty)apartment is ok, way too cold though. rent is decent. wouldn't recommend living here if you can afford anything better

I came to update the review I made three years ago about this place as a grown man rather than the university kid1: the luckiest thing happened here is I met the best renting office ever, Jada(didn’t remember if I got her name right) and her colleagues were always super friendly and they were always trying their best to help me even when I was leaving the property.2: the location of these buildings are very good, shoppers, farmers pick, Tim, McDonald’s, gas etc. With its surroundings and it’s price, even they are old old properties, its still an ideal renting place for students.3: you will be getting a lot of spiders and other bugs both inside and outside your unit and building and the amenities in the building(especially laundry room). It’s because the environment nearby, the beautiful mooney’s bay and the experimental farm down the road. These factors build up a perfect living place for those bugs. These spiders protect you from other bugs but also themselves will be annoying enough.“The only star is for the super nice office staff and it’s location here. The apartment is old and it always feels dirty no matter how often you clean it. Spiders everywhere, outside, between and inside your windows. Spiders inside the units and between the windows, I really don’t know how they come in, I have never ever opened those windows. Spiders in the laundry room are so disgusting when you’re pulling out your just washed clothes out of the washing machine and there are spiders and bugs right above and beside you. If u wanna be Spider-Man then live here, if you’re in Carleton and don’t have a car, maybe u can live here and bear it. The others! Carefully consider this place! Living in here is a regret.”

The building is ok. The price is not bad for the location and apartments.However, the tenants should be carefully check with their backgrounds. People on the same floor are stealing others' deliveries, packages. I don't know why there is no carema or other security tools to avoid it. Or maybe just do some background check on tenants.
