Spirit Cruises (Vancouver Charters)

First of all, the crew was very helpful and friendly, that is the reason they get an additional star and not just 1 star. The food was ok, nothing fancy but alright. We were on the Star of Vancouver and I have the impression, they just use the boat for making money and skipping the maintenance. The boat itself is not in a good condition, wallpaper is coming off at several spots, covers from lights are broken, faucets in washroom are loose etc. Just to name a few things. The lights at the top deck where the bar and dance floor is are just aweful. As long as the sun is shining, no big deal, but as soon as it gets darker they just dont create a nice atmosphere for dancing and partying. But the worst was actually the rip off at the bar. It is ok that drinks are not cheap on a boat but they go way too far. They charge an auto gratuity of 18%, which is placed very unremarkably at the menu. But when you pay, the card terminal asks for a tip, which probably everybody gives them additionally... And to top it, they place a vase at the bar for the third tip you are allowed to give them. Obviously, tipping the 2nd and 3rd time is everybodies own decision, but they also apply more taxes to the 18% auto gratuity than allowed. By law, it is not allowed to apply the 15% (GST+ liquor PST) for the auto gratuity as well, which they do. In the end, it just feels like they want to make use of the drunk people in an unfair way. But this is by far not the only place that does so...

We celebrated a 75th birthday with 30 guests on a four-hour cruise aboard the Star of Vancouver and it was a memorable experience! Kevin and his crew were very attentive, ensuring our every need was met. The salmon buffet was a perfect choice, and the beautiful scenery made it even better. We danced the night away with music blasting and everyone enjoyed the open bar. Amazing night with amazing people!! Thank you!

I just had a lovely birthday party and cruise with 50 of my friends and family. Kevin and his team have been so accommodating from the get go. On the evening of the event, he told the guests that he really wanted us all to have a GREAT time and that we did. Now I have to find another reason to come out again. FYI- the food was really yummy cooked on site. I want the recipe for the chick pea salad. 5 stars!!

I truly loved this cruise dining experience. We were lucky to be in a clear sky and under the full moon at night. All of us were so happy with food and atmosphere. Kevin, the owner, was kind, considerate, and professional. It was so beautiful to see the city of Vancouver from water. Haven't you tried it yet? Please try. You deserve a lovely 3 hours dream time.

Had an awesome Canada Day cruise from the harbour near Stanley Park. We got there a bit early and met the lovely Captain. Food was awesome, staff were kind, the cruise was beautiful and boat was perfect! I highly recommend.

My fiancée and I had an unforgettable evening with our friends who were celebrating their one year anniversary. The food was fantastic, especially the chickpea salad, and there was more than enough for all the guests. Kevin was very helpful and responsive to our needs throughout the evening including helping us solve some audio issues when we wanted to watch a special video during dinner. I grew up on the Sunshine Coast so I love any opportunity to be out on the water and the views were absolutely stunning. There was some chop out there (mostly from other boats going too close) and the crew navigated through it with confidence and ease.If you don't have much experience with boats, I will give you one piece of advice. It is not a massive cruise liner or a BC Ferry so it's going to rock a bit, even on a beautiful calm day. If you're worried, I suggest taking some pills about one hour ahead of the trip.

A group of friends and I were visiting Vancouver and decided to go on a sunset dinner cruise on the Pride of Vancouver.... and I'm glad we did! The cruise was a great way to see the coast of Vancouver while having drinks, dinner and a little dancing! The boat has 3 levels and plenty of outdoor space. It was very clean (including the toilets!) and the tables were decorated nicely with white and black linens and flower centerpieces. The food was outstanding and the staff very professional and attentive. I reached out to the Spirit Cruises' office in advance and told them about my dietary restrictions (pescetarian and gluten intolerant) and they accommodated me with no problem or hesitation! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the side dishes were tasty. One side was a chickpea, Mediterranean type of salad which was delightful and perfect for a summer dinner. For dessert, I couldn't have the cake because of my gluten intolerance and they ensured I wasn't left out by bringing me macarons (yum!). They music playlist was superb so after we ate we found ourselves dancing to a few tunes on the top deck as we watched the sunset. It was a fantastic experience and one I would highly recommend!

The meal was excellent! Best Caesar salad I have had, gave up ordering them in restaurants as they are usually tasteless. The roast beef was also awesome with au jus and horse radish. The photos below don’t include all the offerings just the ones I tried. The music was great. Started out classical and relaxing as we were boarding. And evolved through the evening to eventually become great dance music for all generations. The dance floor was packed and everyone from young to old had a great time! A few young families came with kids and it was so fun to see them up dancing with their parents.

I recently went on a cruise with Spirit cruises and had a great experience. The ship was well-maintained, and the cabins were comfortable and clean.
