Bedhead Boudoir

This was not my first boudoir shoot as I have been modelling boudoir for about a year and a half now as a fun hobby because I absolutely love it. I wanted to do a session with Bed Head Boudoir because the Fire Truck minis were such a unique opportunity. I knew the quality of Krystens photos as I’ve been following her on instagram for awhile. Let me tell you… she did not disappoint! From the beginning of the process all of her information for the shoot was extremely clear and simple to follow. She is very responsive via email which is super helpful. On the day of the shoot everything was streamlined and ran smoothly. I was greeted by Krysten (the photographer), her assistant Natasha and by the makeup artist Julia. They were all kind and welcoming. With no time to waste Julia did a full face of makeup on me in record time and I was very pleased with the results. When we started shooting Krysten right away explained a few poses she wanted me to do and demonstrated how to do them. Having modelled before I had some ideas of my own and she was very accepting of doing those as well. She talked me through the whole shoot, giving pointers on where to look or how to adjust my body. All in all it was an amazing experience. Within a few days we met virtually on a zoom call to do the reveal. I was absolutely blown away by the images. I had to narrow them down to my 3 favourite that she would edit and send to me digitally. Again she was very helpful and this process was also streamlined. A few days later (which in my experience is very quick) she sent me my digital files of the 3 photos I chose fully edited and in a very high resolution. I’m obsessed with these photos to say the least. I would fully recommend anyone thinking of doing a boudoir experience with Krysten. Especially if it’s your first time, her boudoir experienced are very much geared to first timers but also extremely enjoyable to someone with a bit of experience as well. I am already hoping to work with Krysten in the future for a longer session in her beautiful studio. If you want an amazing boudoir experience, Bed Head Studios is the absolute right choice.

I can not say enough amazing things about Krysten! I was given a boudoir photo shoot with her from one of my best friends as a pre surgery gift, as i will be undergoing a double mastectomy in the near future due to cancer. This is something that i had never thought about doing nor did i ever think i would do, but my friend told me i was not allowed to back out and HAD to do it.I am so unbelievably happy that i followed through with it. From the moment i reached out to Krysten about setting up a date for the shoot, she was so so nice and was more then accommodating to squeeze me in before said surgery. i was so nervous leading up to the shoot but once i arrived she was so kind and walked me through how everything would work. she showed me the poses and explained how to execute them, was very encouraging but not pushing! it was so much fun and exciting!The photo reveal was amazing to go through with Krysten, and super emotional. Although she did not make it easy to pick out what photos i wanted for what as they were all so amazing!!!I just got my final photos today and i defiantly shed a couple tears. I can't thank you enough for capturing such an important moment in my life and making it so beautiful and for making me feel so confident and beautiful!!!

There are not enough stars to give here.. simply put – 5 stars is not enough to give Bedhead Boudoir. For the last few years, I have struggled with many postpartum issues and have recently left a toxic marriage.I completely lost myself over the years, so the first thing I did when I became a single mom was book the firefighter shoot with Kristen. I will be fully transparent in saying that that I was extremely anxious and almost didn’t get out of my car, but Kristen and her team were absolutely incredible.The professionalism, organization, and communication Kristen provided before, during, and after the shoot surpasses anything else I have ever experienced. By the end of the SHOOT, I was in my element and not needing any sort of direction from her or her team. They were the hype team every woman needs in her life, and I will forever be grateful to her.Sitting down for the Zoom session to review the images was the first time in my life where I actually smiled and cried happy tears with how amazing I looked. for the first time, i loved myself, and it’s all thanks to kristen. Please, if you want to treat yourself, book a shoot with this amazing woman. I promise you will not regret the investment in yourself.

I have worked with Krysten twice now and I can't recommend her enough! Most recently she did my maternity photo shoot and I cried when I saw how beautiful they turned out. Krysten's photography skills and direction in posing, along with Emma McLeod's amazing hair and makeup skills led a collection of stunning photos that have helped me to fall in love with my pregnancy body. I can't thank Kyrsten enough for the amazing experience and I highly recommend her services! You may enter her studio as a stranger but I promise you will leave with a new friend and feeling like a million bucks!

I met Krysten at the Barrie Women's show in January. While looking at her booth, I made an off hand comment about how I had always had wanted to have a boudoir photo shoot, but due to my body size and not having any sort of clothing" for this type of photo shoot was not sure if it was something I would ever be able to do. Right away

First of all, WOW. The whole experience was amazing! I initially chose Bedhead Boudoir because I loved the moody photography style I saw on Instagram, but I left with so much more than boudoir photos. As someone who struggles with body dysmorphia, this experience was the biggest confidence booster leading up to my wedding and has made me feel so beautiful and sexy!Krysten & Emma are the best hype team and genuinely the coolest/sweetest people ever. I went in with the plan to just trust in their expertise and they did not disappoint! It felt like we were just a bunch of friends hanging out and I didn’t feel awkward at all. Emma is a queen of hair and makeup. Krysten is a wizard - her work is magic! She did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable. I felt like it was a very safe, empowering space. I travelled from Halifax, to Whitby, and all the way to Barrie and would do it again because it was so worth it!My jaw dropped and I was speechless when I saw my photos because I simply could not believe it was me. But it WAS me! I definitely felt like a badass. The lighting was perfect and the poses Krysten suggested accentuated my body so well. The parts of my body that usually make me feel self conscious did not bother me at all.After the shoot, Krysten showed me product examples, and let me tell you, they are the most luxurious photo albums I have ever laid my hands on. I can’t wait to get my album and show my fiancé! She also gave me a little starbucks treat & scrunchie to take home which was so sweet.When I got home, I immediately gushed to my fiancé and friends about how amazing the experience made me feel. My fiancé was so happy for me because he could already see a shift in my confidence.Thank you Krysten and Emma for helping me feel like a million bucks. I don’t even know where to start! I met Krysten at this years Barrie Women’s show, and immediately I was surrounded by positive vibes just by standing there and talking to her! I won a free shoot as part of a giftbag giveaway and I’m not going to lie, at first I was a little hesitant about the whole thing. But as soon as I walked into the studio any anxiety I had just absolutely melted away.Krysten made me feel so loved and confident and beautiful in my own skin, and it’s been such a long time since I’ve been able to feel that way. She made me feel so welcome during the entire experience, encouraging me to try to new things while also being immensely respectful of my comfort levels. I just finished my reveal meeting with her and OH. MY. LANTA. Krysten has a way with her camera that I have never seen before. I can honestly say that I have been carrying that sense of confidence and self love with me since my shoot, and I don’t think that feeling will be going away anytime soon.I cannot recommend Krysten and her services enough, and I can confidently say that I will be going back to her in the near future (after I finish showing almost everyone I know the fantastic pictures she took). I cannot wait to get my final images, and if you’re on the fence about doing a shoot, I say just do it. You will feel so confident afterwards, it’s honestly indescribable. I was so excited to celebrate my 40th birthday and 15 year wedding anniversary by booking a session with the team at Bedhead Boudoir. Had I have known about what would actually would happen during my time there I don’t think I would have waited so long when booking my session. When you walk in and have your hair and makeup done and chat with Krysten and Emma, you feel like you’re chatting with your best friends. The welcome and ease these ladies give is indescribable. I was expecting to have some nerves but didn’t feel much at all once my hair and make up were done. During the shoot Krysten not only walked you through the poses but is one of the biggest hype people I know. I left feeling so rejuvenated and reinvigorated I got to work on some projects I was putting off. Then when I had my reveal I was speechless, I got a little teary eyed but felt my confidence boost just a little bit more. Yesterday I received my proofs for final approval and it just made me giddy. Krysten has a gift and if you’re not sure if you’re on the fence, please don’t hesitate anymore. You will thank yourself when you do
