Huge selection but prices are EXTREME considering they're second hand donations. Some things were priced higher than the original price brand new in the actual store they were originally purchased from. Do better Value Village

I noticed a few framed items that had personal certificates of what was probably a deceased person, or VERY old person. I asked if they would allow me to take the certificates out as they all belonged to the same man, and perhaps try to find the family they belonged to- as I do a lot of genealogy and have returned many personal photos/ certificates to living family members/ descendants of families. I figured they were selling the frame and not someone’s old certificates. I was pointed to the ‘manager’ a short balding man named Chico, and told to ask him. When I explained to the man what I was hoping to do, all he had to say was: “you pay, you can take them” I said but you aren’t selling the certificates, people aren’t coming here to buy some old person’s certificate of appreciation and then putting it up on their walls, they just want the frames. He ignored me and walked away. Incredibly rude! We also observed him treat a staff member horribly in front of other staff and customers.Although I realize he didn’t HAVE to give the certificates to me, I think this brings up another issue… why exactly aren’t these personal items being removed from the floor and simply not out for all to see. Where does Value Village draw the line? It’s a matter of morals if you ask me, and clearly this company has a lot of work to do.I did pay full price for dollar store frames that were ridiculously over priced, all so that I could return these documents to their rightful family. Shame on Value Village for charging for these in the first place, and shame on them for hiring a deplorable human being named ‘Chico’.

Visited to look at getting some items to build my Halloween costume. Value village gathers the items they sell through donations. Considering these have been donated and it should be at a discounted price, I noticed this was not the case. Value village was selling a George" (Walmart brand) plain back crew neck t-shirt for $7.50. this shirt is used. The new shirts in Walmart are $8. That's only a $.50 difference. I would not recommend it."

Received fantastic customer service from Ken and Adam today at the Orleans location. They were both extremely helpful in guiding me through the process of retrieving an item I had donated by mistake. Great experience!

Stuff is priced higher than 'new' items at other stores. Sadly many items won't be bought now and will end up in the landfill. Gotta love capitalism

I love having the option to recycle or provide more life to products I no longer need or use. Being able to drop off just about anything while helping my community is fantastic. I've purchased some used books in the past. The only issue is you have to take the time to really look it over to make sure items are not damaged or smell terrible. You'll always find some very random stuff and possible gems. This location is very busy but seems to be well managed. Some items are pretty rough or dirty though and the price doesn't always make sense. Plenty of parking available in multiple lots. Very convenient business hours.

Staff are lovely and helpful and store is well organized but I will no longer shop at any Value Village. Since the removal of the fitting rooms it makes it hard to make choices as you are forced to go home to try clothing on and if the items don't fit you must return within 14 days and they will only give you a store credit to be used at that time. Higher-ups are only concerned about profits over customer satisfaction. Not impressed at all.

Overworked staff, under invested management and an obvious pivot towards trying be a major retail competitor has lost my business and I'll be looking for better experience at smaller thrift stores. Don't bother here if you're looking for good deals, they don't have them.
